Not that i need it but if my phone have features then they should not b e blocked by region.
That note 5 ai will probably be my last Xiaomi phone. As they are sometimes 2 months no update even for security updates. and when we get security updates then they are always month old. And now it seems that they wont even update it to PIe so whats the point was to advertise the phone with Project Treble when the phone dont get even 1 android base update from 8 to 9. Android Q wont happen anyways for this phone.
I will probably need to open bootload and root some other android on it as Xiaomi dont seem to care about there customers and especially the new markets like Europe and so on with no updates for android versions.

I hope the the update for Redmi Note 5 AI will also come with "night mode" for the camera because right now the camera on my Redmi Note 5 AI pretty much useless in night time.

I guess they would slow down the phone further and hamper with quick charge to frustate old phone users forcing them to buy new ones I'd suggest not updating them

Where the heck is next 'big Oreo/Pie update' for Mi Max 2? Phone came with Nougat, and after 2 years still in Nougat!? I am sure Mi Max 2 users around the world will echo the same sentiments.
So, many features missing in current Nougat based Miui Global Stable 10.2.1.0 NDDMIXM ROM, will there be a sweet ending to this excruciating waiting game?
I hope so.

Justphone, 01 Jun 2019Global update has been suspendedNot really good move from there part to make the update for India that have same hardware or very close to same. Especially when the AI version dont even work face unlock if you dont have the region set to India.
For this kind of attitude they wont win the market over when they chose to give updates for India but not for global.

Oh ok I just checked the update I had last week and it is MIUI 10.3.1.0 rather. We need the pie here. My phone I Note 5 pro.

Wow, we have waited for far too long. Please when is this update coming global? Let it be fast. Only last week I saw an upgrade for the MIUI 10.3.2.0 and upgraded it but didn't come with Pie 9 Android version. We are waiting for the Pie update. Thank you.
