Google is not 'forcing' anyone to use their services. It's their OS so naturally they'd push their own services over that of its competitors. However you can still download any other browser from the play store. I don't see a problem anywhere.

Google really has no concern, those alternatives are all bad at worst.

And people can't do it themselves? I don't get the point of it you can install other browser and set it as default what would be appreciated is that google would only install playstore and users will install which other apps they would like to use

Orly, 12 Jun 2019Meh. The EU should do like they did to Microsoft with the "... moreI agree and hope it will be the next step.

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2019Bing is a search engine ?????Yes sir, it is. Maybe it is not the best and the safest but it is a search engine.

So it's just an extra bloatware that allows you to install even more bloatware... but not to get rid of the google bloatware....

I bet the majority of people don't care about this update and would just continue using Google as their search engine as they normally do.

Meh. The EU should do like they did to Microsoft with the "N" Windows. No browser or other Google bloat preinstalled, just the bare minimum (like the "pico" GApps package) and let the user decide.

If the EU commission was serious about offering a competitive digital environment for the consumer it would ban Android.
