[deleted post]OP has a great analogy to what is really happening. Android is really like fat hamburgers...Just more crap added that's getting heavier and heavier yet its never optimized since forever...

Sailfish is in Good shape but far from the best it can be!
ubuntu phone or whatever they used to call it was died and i personally am happy it died cause it wasn't good and functional!

mdtrpa, 14 Jun 2019Spying from Huawei was never proved, even Huawei claimed it... moreAgreed, but the OS is now straight from them. I'd at least be somewhat suspicious

Again using nokia technology to survive.
Previously they have use nokia's camera department and now Nokia developed os MeeGo which Sailfish OS is evolved from.
Thank god My favourite brand Nokia is still there but i wish HMD Global should create a seperate series with sailfish os instead of Huawei

And they have no intention of going back because they have more freedom here

Customers that weren't interested in Huawei before the ban surely won't be just because of the potential new os , unless Huawei can sort cross platform connectivity for people and businesses who use Google or Microsoft then I'm not sure how many would be willing to even test the water

HMD is a different company using Nokia brand name and Nokia's Smartphone Business, it's also trying to put larger camera sensors with X71 & 8.1 plus. But these are not flagships like 808 or 1020, and are no way comparable.

                                1) Ark OS is for domestic China market
                                2) Sailfish OS is for international market

I would very much like to try out Sailfish :-D

No one country should have sole control over such things

Sailfish too different to ios and android. Something similar to iOS with their transition animation s between apps.
