I had purchased the Nokia 3110 on 8-10-2007.
i had got so many problems with the model. it is automatically swithching off and getting on every time and when i went near the coustomer care he sugested me to not to use the 1.GB memory card and to use only 512 MB card as the model is not supporting not more than 512 card. when i got the broucher of the model it was clearly given that the model supports 2GB. card. so please try to solve my problem and if the model soes not support the 2 gb then better ban the model.

I don't undertand why they did not invite gsmarena...this is among the best sites out there on web for news and update on cellphones...who knows maybe they feel that this phone is good enough compared to other phones out in the market for a unbaised review.

Yeah right. Gizmodo is so biased. For them Apple's products are always on top even if its fugly.
GSMArena on the other hand serves well.

I don't have any issues with gsmarena either. I think they are overall very professional and, yes, objective. I just think the assessment of the 3110 Evolve was hyperbolic and borne of sour grapes. I see you also failed to take into consideration that I'm certainly not defending Nokia in the event of gsmarena being left out; Nokia is wrong on that count and I have no qualms against saying so. I still doubt it was a malicious decision, though. I don't seen any grounds for such a thing.
Regardless, the data supports a more positive apparaisal of the 3110 Evolve and the well-intentioned goals behind it. I only hope other device manufacturers ignore the antienvironmental malcontents and continue working toward sensible solutions to pollution and power consumption.

Objective Voice huh? you don't really sound so objective actually. you sound like somone pretending to be neutral but is actually a nokia defender.
nokia phones are overpriced and that is a fact, even their low-end phones are overpriced. what people are paying for when they buy nokia phones is the brand name. just because something is popular doesn't mean it's the best.
about gsmarena, they even tried to secure an invitation and they were ignored. that means nokia did not want them there. yes, i am pro-gsmarena, i like their reviews which are objective and very thorough.

Nokia will find it difficult to survive upto expectations of users with namesake upgrading which they have done with nokia 3110 classic or n95 or E50. It is high time that instead of being afraid of critics they should welcome them with open arms for long term benefits. Gsmarena seemd to be always very professional. Symbianfreak, a cratian website crew was invited. If you read their news, you'll see that they are professional as well, but they don't speak english. There are so many mistakes in their articles, but nokia doesen't seem to care. I believe that nokia purposely missed to invite GSmarena. And yes, the nokia phones are overpriced. Look at it this way, the 6500 slide is more expensive than the Samsung G600, although the G600 is a superior phone. The low budget nokia phones cost like middle end samsung phones. I like nokia, but they are kind of being a b?tch, like Apple. Ok, nokia is consumer oriented, and apple doesen't seem to care about consumers, just about big compaines like ATT, T-mob, O2...-that's why i said kind of like Apple.

I don't get why Gsmarena wasn't invited to the nokia event in Amsterdam. Gizmodo is unprofessional site that is always pro Apple, and contra Microsoft, that's why micorosoft never invites Gizmodo reporters to any events.

gsmarena was most certainly not objective in the brief review discussed. The content was far more opinion than fact.
The facts are found in details such as the improved charger efficiency and lower-impact materials utilized, not blithe assessments of what "evolved" may or may not mean. While these facts may not be important to abject Nokia bashers, they are to enlightened device purchasers. Thank God some in the industry are making an effort.
In addition, it's hard to take serious the views of anyone employing overly-broad statements such as "their phones are overpriced" (Nokia produces MANY low-priced phones) and rank insults such as "treehuggers" or "gullable [sic] fools". I also doubt anyone relying on such sophomoric statements truly understands what objective even means.
As to the essential subject, I can only hope that environmental stewards are growing in number while numbers of those expressing antipathy toward such responsibility are shrinking. The planet's in a lot of trouble otherwise.
Finally, I doubt the omission of an invite to gsmarena was an intentional slight. I'm betting it was a horrible oversight, and that once the responsible parties find out, they will be mortified. While I'm disappointed in any gsmarena bloggers who allow the mistake to cloud their judgment, I fully understand their frustration, and hope that Nokia makes it up to them somehow.

at least where i live people dont really care how environmentally friendly phones are. i dont see any reason why people wud chose this over the other "non-evolved" phone unless it is cheaper.
why nokia did not invite gsmarena is a mystery to me. i wud think the more free advertising they cud get the better.
i personally dont like nokia i think their phones are overpriced and i wud like to know why they have just made 3touchscreen phones which are all discontinued. instead of producing phones like this one i think they should focus on producing phones with very new technology like they did with the n95. it was (and still is) popular because that technology was/is hard to find on the other phones.

i believe that gsmarena were being objective and fair in their review. they were only stating facts really. the only thing that has 'evolved' as they say is the casing, which may be good news to tree huggers but represents a real lack of effort on nokias behalf and another cheap attempt to fool consumers. they produce endless amounts of phones with exact same specs with slightly different casings which is why they dominate the market. in my opinion nokias sudden 'concern'for the environment is just a cleverly devised marketing strategy, and it will probably work for all the gullable fools out ther who buy nokia phones.
