poco launcher is the best, simple n fast, i used this launcher on redmi note 5, mi max, mi5s plus, even on my new black shark2.... lol

Anonymous, 18 Jun 2019you are wrong, at least in germany you can't turn off ads a... moreMy Mi Mix 3 is imported by mytrendyphone from supplier in Germany, so we should have the same ROM.
Unless your settings are set to location India, where ads are used to subsidize the phone, you should be perfectly able to disable the ads.
Example in folders, open folder, click on the name and remove "promoted apps".
I found two more guides:
Disable ads from Mi Browser. Open the Browser app, click on the menu button on the bottom right corner, go to Settings > Privacy & Security and disable “Recommended for you.”
To get rid of ads from MIUI Security app, follow these steps:
Open the MIUI Security app.
Tap Settings icon on the top-right.
Scroll down and disable Receive recommendations.
I didn't have to do this, but then again i rejected ads during first time setup.

And yes I know what Im talking about, running a mix 3 and have 2 people running mi9 around me ;) Since the ads are only in settings menu I dont really care, but they need to claim it on the box, its misleading.

Well, on a Xiaomi phone you also get a question about ads, and you can select no. So zero ads is very easy to obtain. But let's say you were in a rush and only clicked "OK" and "agree" to everything in startup, you can still disable it very easily in the settings menu.
So please, stop crying about something you know nothing about.

But also in phone settings, msa, all it takes is like 30 seconds to turn off recommandations, and that it. If you have problem with India region, change it.

I am just stating the fact... morei have been using the pocophone f1 since february along with my razer phone 2 and i have never seen any ads from the start. wy wife has a redmi s2 for a backup phone since last year and she did have ads before but she has since had an option to turn it off entirely on an update early this year.
