Samsung Galaxy Fold is almost ready to hit the market

19 June 2019
We're still waiting on a new launch date, however. It won't be in July, so the Fold could join the Galaxy Note10 on stage in early August.

The only way anyone would consider buying a £1749 (or whatever the exact figure is) folding or non folding phone is if they knew damn well it would last longer than your average high end phone. This will definitely be putting any potential customers off

    Rip..

z, 19 Jun 2019Fold already lost it's hypeI still want one, or something similar. It would be the perfect device for personal/school/travel. In other words, the perfect device for me.

I just wish the Fold was 16:10 unfolded to begin with, when folded it's too thin to use as a phone and unfolded, it wasn't big enough to be a full-fledged tablet

so this year (maybe) the mobile phone market will see competition between two competitors.the Huawei mate x with its outside fold screen which is prone to scratches or the Samsung galaxy fold mark 2 with the inner fold screen with that potential eye sore right side thick notch.

Make it with bigger display, remove the notch, bring S Pen with it and reduce the price then will be a great phone and everyone will buy it but for 2000$ is tooo much for a smartphone

“MOST of the display problems have been ironed out, and the Galaxy Fold is ready to hit the market,” said Samsung Display Vice President Kim Seong-cheol.

                      Eh? Most!

So he could of said "the display still has problems that we have been unable to address" but hey I suppose that doesn't sound as positive.

i have a better idea/ just seize production of the galaxy fold phone/ assemble your robots to pull them apart from the seam/ thus creating two phones/ add a clip so you can attach them like the nintendo switch/ ... their you go you have a device where if its to big you can leave the other half at home/ or if your friend doesnt have a phone/ give him the other half woww great innovation!
