Google did get a lot bad flack by other vendors by making too cheap devices. Now They have changed it so that their devices has flagship prices, so other companies does not have reason complain about unfair competition... those Nexus times does not come back!

Don't get me wrong, Qualcomm is a very good firm. Yet Google need developing its own hardware so as to be the number 1 in the smartphone industry.

Devil , 21 Jun 2019Fuchsia OS is dead, only Chrome OS matters for Google. Fuchsia OS is alive and very well. It's been confirmed by the team that's working on it. Also, it won't replace Android or Chrome OS, it will be dedicated to IoT devices (this may include smart fridges and whatever other 'smart' devices come out in the future)

Rest in peace Google tablet. Tablet is pretty much irrelevant with the growth of gigantic phones and small thin laptops. Unless people really need it they are not buying it. If they do buy it the best choice would be an iPad. Tablet market is already scarce and flagship android tablet is even more rare.

hope Google really goes back to its roots. This is not the same company it once was. back when they had hardware partnership to make Nexus (nexus 7 - one of best tablet around at the time, as were the phones back then) was good times. They now produce overpriced crap that is neither aesthetically pleasing nor technologically advanced. At least Apple is good at one of those.
Not like there was marketing or big push for these. They just expected people to buy it because it had Google on it...but not realising Google branding doesn't do much on hardware front.
On top of that, it is not like Google is the old one with motto 'don't be evil' - it is being just another corporate. it's services (YT, Gmail, Android services, search, ads etc) is still good, or at least looks much better..but then again Facebook had time like that at one point and now look where they are.
Hope they turn things around, but good riddance to pixel.

Long ago a company from china made an OS which is desktop friendly and runs Android called Remax OS and yet I still don't quite understand why Google can't get this right.
Hopefully now they can focus on their Chrome OS much like how iPad OS13 will be.

Very disappointing that Google decided to stop making tablets. They should have stuck it out with the pixel slate.

If they made a good Android tablet, people would of bought that - instead they made a mostly useless expensive Chrome OS one, then they wonder why people don't buy that...

Tablet now is dead cuz phone is getting bigger and laptop notebook is also eating their market share.

As the iPad pro 12.9 inch gets 18000 at multi core geekbench and the Tab S5 only 9700. And that with the snapdragon 855.
