That's the reason us banmed Huawei, Huawei was becoming no.1 much fast, and giving users everything not like apple or Samsung rubbish with their shitty phones

AnonF-844591, 21 Jun 2019Wasn't ARM banned Huawei too??Dude Huawei has license to use some of the architecture for a few more years , they would have sealed that deal long ago, its only going to impact them a few years from now
Just like smartphone designs/ features etc they are almost finalized months and sometimes even year plus ahead
That's why this copy thing is so misleading, people think manufacturers just copy something in 2 months time lol

Shanti Dope, 21 Jun 2019Hmmm, like I'm not surprised anymore with such setup anyway... moreDude you know about the legendary 625?
I remember people complaining how weak it was and the the thing can play graphically heavy games too battery life was amazing on my redmi note 4x man that SOC was the absolute best

Nice, but not 400eur nice. I don't think we'll see this in 200eur devices.

Nice. A76 and A55 with a 7nm transistor size. If only bootloader unlocking and custom roms were available for Huawei phones. Huawei, Nokia and others have stopped bootloader unlocking for their phones. Sad.

Hmmm, like I'm not surprised anymore with such setup anyway.
I'm interested, however, to a modern/updated version of the legendary Snapdragon 625 or 630. That setup, paired with 7nm process, should bring ummm, twice the efficiency of those two legendary chips.
They still provide adequate performance, all for phones under $100.
Imagine the Xiaomi Redmi 7 being powered by such a SoC, along with an insane 5000mAh battery - easily two-day battery life....

Anonymous, 21 Jun 2019I don't care. As long it's better than sd730 it's good enou... morei dont agree with you.
SD SoC is doing exactly what they say it will do. Price is fair. For high price of the Samsung or any other phone ask OEMs, not Qualcomm about the price.
Kirin Soc is doing roughly 60-70% what they say it will do.... and AI in Kirin Soc is still a baby comparing to SD AI

[deleted post]https://www.huaweicentral.com/huaweis-kirin-710-processor-what-it-brings-inside-the-chip-explained/
Its the real thing as marketed. Previous Kirin 710 performance is on par with SD660, phones with it even cheaper than the one equipped with SD660.

162% better performan... moreI highly doubt its a pure lie. Its marketing speak. They must be cherry picking one benchmark where the new chip out performs the old one by 162% making it streching the truth but definitely not an outright lie.

Anonymous, 21 Jun 2019nothing special and nothing new.... 162% better performan... moreI don't care. As long it's better than sd730 it's good enough. Snapdragon processors are overrated.
