Ol... moreJust use google search and you'll find out many Samsung phones from previous generation also has screen problems related with OLED and like i said before many used Samsung phone that are sold on online store has screen problems.
Well known brands do not guarantee the quality of a product remember the recent Galaxy Fold screen issues?
And also only Huawei P30 using Samung OLED but the one on Huawei P30 Pro comes from BOE.

AnonD-816568, 23 Jun 2019I don't think there is a significant difference whether the... moreIt's more of a quality control issue then anything else. Oled panels produced by LG/BOE have had numerous problems in the past (lg v30, mate 30 Pro, pixel 2xl to name a few).
At least if I purchase a phone with a Samsung oled panel, there are usallly 0 issues and I'm getting a world renowned, high quality display which explains why most oems adopt Samsung panels (p30 Pro, xiaomi mi 9, one plus 7 etc)

I w... moreI don't think there is a significant difference whether the OLED screen is made by Samsung or other companies because the OLED material they use are similar and if you look at many online stores most used Samsung phones has some kind display problems related to OLED.
The biggest advantage of Samsung OLED is because they use PenTile Matrix which makes the display cheaper to make than RGB OLED because PenTile reduces the number of subpixels needed to create a specified resolution but it doesn't make their display immune to OLED disadvantages.

A great device - OLED display, big battery, small price, 3.5 audio jack, no UD fingerprint reader (which I prefer).
The only problem is the 7904 SoC, which is in the same league as a 632 / 636 snapdragon (see M20 and A40 reviews) - a little slow in 2019

Panda eyes, 23 Jun 2019You will only experience burn in and shadows if you crank u... moreIf i'm not mistaken each OLED has different life span with blue OLED has the shortest life span.
The screen on my Galaxy E5 has no burn in maybe because i always using dark background and set the brightness as low as possible but the screen looks really greenish now.
So based on my own experience i think you can avoid burn in but it will be hard to maintain the color accuracy and uniformity of the screen because each OLED has different life span.

I've had many samsung phones and the only phones that had horrible burn in were my note 1 and s3. All the rest have had no signs of deterioration.

I can't help but feel that Gsmarena is late to review a lot of phones. Samsung has already sold millions of M series devices and we're about to get an M30 review only now

Yes! I was hoping for a review of the M30 - mainly for the battery scores. It smokes every other phone in the category in battery drain test videos. You can also examine the difference an AMOLED screen makes, since the M20 is the same phone save for the LCD screen.
