Motorola has no plans to update the Moto Z4 with Android R

Although the company has promised to rollout bi-monthly security updates for two years.

Moto flagships have lost all appeal really. All they have left to offer is stock Android, which is also available from others like Nokia & OnePlus, which also offer much better software support...

    Wouldn't this not be a problem if the Z4 gets dev support?

      Remember back in 2012;
      ...after Google had release Android 4.0.3 for about 3 months, Motorola advertised that it would be updating its newly announced flagship phones to the OS, but after another 6 months it promptly cancelled the update rollout?

        It's horrible if this turns out to be true.
        Firstly Lenovo killed X series and now Z.
        I see that soon they will end G and E series too.

        And then no Moto phones anymore. Only Lenovo brand phones.

        Pathetic Lenovo management and their shortsightedness is actually self destrcuting something which could have been a great fortune maker for them.
