The back in the schematics looks a lot like the V40 ThinkQ.

That hole punch is pointless if there's all that bezel there, jeez

                  A year too late!
Next year LG will probably patent a phone with two punch holes, one above and one below the screen :(

                        Well...with a forehead and a punch hole front camera. That's a first :)

To be quite honest, I don't really care too much for notches. I used to hate on them when they were new and they made your phone look silly compared to normal phones, but now they've become so widespread I don't really care anymore.

The main question here is a size. Maybe I'm just seeing things, but from the design it kind of looks like it could be a compact-ish size, speaking S10e size. If LG managed to pull it off, alongside with some decent specs, mil-spec and IP68 (like the G7/G8), that would be a bomb.

Well companies like LG and Sony were dead for some time and i really dont think a hexa camera or a punch hole could save something.
Its just and only their own fail they lack of creativity, long time to update and greed for money wont makes them selling their devices at a faster rate.

What's wrong with LG omg! They need to fire their design team for sure!

why punch hole & why then huge bezels. lg do something unique. thr was a tym when lg was the king of higher s2b ratio & worlds first technologies.

The blueprints remind me a little of an S10e Samsung Galaxy model.

I mean, to be quite honest, the hole actually doesn't look half that bad.

Carl, 23 Jun 2019If you being a big brand with a lot of cash can't grow or ... moreSo, if you're playing the game well but are losing because others are cheating...
...you're saying you also need to cheat to compete?

Doesn't that cause regression where the consumer loses in the end?

The only solution would be for society to create children that are intelligent and skeptical, so that they do not fall for cheap gimmicks and exaggerated marketing ploys. That way companies who have huge marketing divisions will find themselves losing and wasting money, which forces them to compete by making better phones, and the industry thus improves over time (instead of regression). So maybe the question to ask is:
...do you personally think optimistically about the (critical thinking) growing population?
...or do you think pessimistically about the (critical thinking) growing population?

And do you think industries will/can benefit by forced intervention by governments to make guidelines (and punitive fines) for user goods, and the prevention of fraud, false advertising, exaggerated marketing ?
