Huawei nova 5 stops by Antutu, Kirin 810 outscores Snapdragon 730

23 June 2019
Not only is the Kirin 810 a significant improvement over its 710 predecessor, it also edges out Qualcomm's most potent midrange offering.

My comment was not for you. It was for the comments below that were saying "fake score" etc.

Personally I don't care about benchmark scores either. In real-life performance, all latest mid-range & higher SoCs perform well.

                    How malig52 is us company

if the benchmark specs are consistent with real life ones , good for huawei. yet, not to forget it's a few months more recent, 7nm technology, processor vs an older 8nm chip. now I'll wait for qualcomm's answer. that is certainly to come. and than for huawei's, aso... anyhow, I won't hold my breath. for neither, is theirs businesses to protect after all. but is fun to observe how the fans', both sides, get up and down, again and again... :))))

not only Kirin 810 is awesome, but the fact that makes some people to cry out loud is priceless ....

Shanti Dope, 23 Jun 2019I don't hate Huawei's Kirin, but as a Snapdragon SoC user, ... morebuddy, i've heard dozens of xioami users brag about their beloved superior snapdragons many times. probably not a good idea to start to argue by speaking in behalf of general populace you havent even met lol.

while i agree to most of your points, what i dont agree is when you say that SD users never brag. welp, ever encountered a die hard xiaomi fan? lol.

Whackcar, 23 Jun 2019Qualcomm users are jealous of Kirin's supremacy. They were ... moreI don't hate Huawei's Kirin, but as a Snapdragon SoC user, what's there for me to be jealous of this Kirin chipset?
First off, benchmarks won't really mean a damn in reality. Even if it was a Snapdragon that's scoring better, it still wouldn't matter, since they are just the scores achieved under circumstances where most users won't even reach in daily life.
Another is, Snapdragon SoCs have far superior developer support for modifications, where their Kirin counterparts could barely even allow bootloader unlocking.
Because of this, most games will be best optimized on Snapdragon chipsets compared to any other Android SoC platform, including the Kirin lineup.

With that being said, I wanna clarity from you as to what you think would get us envy of whatever Huawei is doing right now.
It's not like this "slightly" better chipset from Huawei would mean the end of the world for us Qualcomm Snapdragon users at any circumstance.
But when the Qualcomm Snapdragon chips are superior to their Kirin counterparts, have you heard of anyone of us to brag about it? Pretty sure you didn't, and that's because we already know what really matters more.

I don't want to start a fight here, but you're clearly not making any sense with your statement. Thanks and have a good day!

When commes to innovation Huawei is like big white whale MobyDick which already swallowed whole competition.
Company made by people and for people compared to others ruled by greed for money and people with lack of innovation and ideas only presenting customers false, bad and wrong ideas and forcing them to buy. Compared to that Huawei always won every battle and war where competitors struggling on every battlefield mourning for a lost fight long time ago before it even started,
Like when Kirin 810 easily outbeat any other midrange chipset.

DavidRegalJnr, 23 Jun 2019I love Huawei but you guys guys don't believe this fake sco... moreMan Huawei and their Kirin were always, ALWAYS better than Samsung and Exynos or mediatek.
                                  These scores are real.

                                    -Mali G51 MP4 (Kirin 710)- 22,000 point (Antutu Score) +/- 10%.
-Mali G52 MP6 (Kirin 810)- 73,000 point (Antutu Score) +/- 10%. (according to this chart)

ARM says Mali G52 has 30% more performance than G51. So by that logic:-
-Mali G51 MP1 should have Antutu score of 22,000/4 =5,500
                                    -Mali G51 MP6 should have Antutu score of 5500x6 = 33,000
                                    -Mali G52 MP6 with 30% more performance over G51 should have Antutu score of 33,000x130/100 = 42,900 +/- 15%.
(Note1: With the increase in number of core, performance increase is not exactly linear)

So the GPU score seems fake to me. The score in the chart is close to Mali G72 MP12 GPU and I doubt G52 MP6 can achieve that even when overclocked.

But if somehow Huawei managed to get that score with Mali G52 then hats off to Huawei.

                                      Man you are kinda funny.
The phone is great, CPU and GPU as well, jack is cons as it always been because is not essential is not important already killed by wireless and bluetooth audio.
NFC or IR Blaster are not neccessary and essential features so not needed to pay for them.
And Micro SD card??? My Moto X4 have 64GB disk space and still have 30% left and have it since first day of buy 15.10.2017.
For what sake i would need SD slot if even 64GB i cannot fill.
And if someone have 128 or 256GB having SD card slot is completely pointless apart the situation you will kill your phone but nobody will replace someone clumsyness.
