gaurravv5, 25 Jun 2019And how do you know someone is not spying on you with your ... moreIf you mean rear camera - well, I don't, but there's always a certain point where you need to choose between practicality and privacy. If the privacy was the only goal, one would have to full Tom Hanks on some abandoned island in the middle of ocean, or go live in some hut in the middle of Siberia. But since one wants to live in a civilized society, some compromises always must be made.
Sure, covering the rear camera would give user much more privacy, but since I use the rear camera quite regularly (unlike selfie cam), I'd sacrifice too much functionality if I kept it covered. If I cover only selfie cam, I'm sacrificing zero functionality (since I don't use selfie cam at all), and I'm preventing potential hackers from going full Black Mirror on me.

I have a problem with this that inevitably more companies will follow, and soon there simply might not be enough options without under-display selfie cam anymore...

Mature like boom boom note 7? or that bendy dandy foldy? if so, a product designed in sleep can be more mature than that

AnonD-731363, 24 Jun 2019Werll its like the Martin Cooper Coowner and Coofounder of ... moreAndroid is an open source project, So I doubt it belongs to any company/country. IOS was a child of Xerox and symbian, it is closed source, but ideas have been liberally lifted from around the mobile world. So it doesn't make sense to associate that with any country either. Apple has already lost 200 billion usd in market cap, thanks in no small part to wawei, so it has been a guy to rescue as always. if oppo happens to be cause of same, you will see sanctions against them

The Xiaomi under screen camera is better. I would rather have no front camera so the phone is thinner, lighter and less expensive. Oppo will not make it to production until 2021. Hope Xiaomi comes out with theirs next year.

I'm glad its happening, but much prefer the flipping systems Samsung and Asus are experimenting with. Knowing i have an amazing camera available, but am relegated to a weaker camera just because it's on the opposite side of the device is the real problem--not full screen displays.

I'm not an... moreIf you're that concerned about your privacy, just keep disconnected from the internet. The phone can't send your private data to any server without internet access...
Or as someone else said, you can always buy a different phone which has a pop-up camera or a bezel...
You could also take a permanent marker & draw over the camera lens. It will end up looking like a punch hole camera while not being able to see anything. Just some simple solutions to your "problem".

PiCosm, 24 Jun 2019Patents and ideas. Oppo may have perfected a technique and ... moreWerll its like the Martin Cooper Coowner and Coofounder of Motorola brand back in 1972 when he and his friends made a first working cell phone and called AT-T from some frequent square in new york with words.
Hello i am Martin Cooper founder of Motorola i am calling you from a first cell phone created.
And phone call over.
Since 1972 many years passed and technologies evolved but the all basics belongs to him and his team. Without them no other cell company would exist unless some other company makes working cell phone.
Thus the Motorola is only original and genuine and all other brands i like to call them copycats for said reason.
This is the same story as Google and IOS both belongs to US company and both of them wouldnt like to see a chinese OS well working and well selling due to many facts mostly money which if we translate into people then China and India have 1/3 of global population. So a completely china made OS would be suicidal for android google and IOS from Apple.
I really understand Orange greasy mans movements but still i rather would like to see Ark OS on rise and Google on Fall than oposite where Huawei ends as a Titanic risen to most majestic glory but fall on its first sail.
End of my story.
