I'm also against nonsense creations, but come on guys, this is one of the better new ones!
It's basically fixing our problem with regards to our so-called 'bezel-less' demand, all while doing no harm to anything else.
The main reason why companies are getting lazier to innovate these days is because our demand is way too much for even the most advanced machines and supercomputers to reach. Let's just be realistic for now and keep everything lowkey, as well as support whatever anyone is doing for the better, because without those things, then perhaps we wouldn't get to where we are today.
Appreciate, stop the hate. Life would be easier with that. Simple as that. Peace.

We don't need theoretical lab test for perfection, release it to consumers then have real world data to learn from the mistakes
This is the type of mindset why so many adults achieve nothing in life it's generally better to start somewhere
It's ironic you mentioned Samsung too because their first batch of oled were horrible super horrible colour accuracy, burn in etc
Samsung should have waited till 2019 to develop oled and perfect it right?

Sigh ...This whole first to do something has to stop. Tech companies need to focus on doing it well than just piecing something together to appear like they did it first. Samsung has been working on it and nothing yet. Oppo should also keep on the R&D till its ready. I hope its not so bad afterall.

So mamy times I've seen people here bashing OEMs like Sony for making phone with thick bezels or with some kind of "forehead"
And now there is as many people complaining about the rage for bezel-less phones

Once a time, under display finger print and elevating camera was dream and now lot of usable improved version came.
So like this under display camera will surely improve in coming months/a year. Many version will come and change the way you are now talking.

It's surprising to see that it's the people who follow and visit the tech sites are the ones that hate changes and innovation in technology. People want uninterrupted display for viewing contents in full glory and immersive multimedia experience. Like it or not, most people don't know what they want unless they have it. Bezeless display is way forward.

The bezel obsession has to stop. Don't get me wrong, props to Oppo for trying their hardest, but it's really 1 step forward, 2 steps back.
