I think this will sell. People pay for the Samsung brand anyway, and "it's as fast as a Galaxy S10 but not as expensive" is something that will attract buyers.

Big establis... moreBut don't take away the factor that labor and raw material costs in China are lower than SK hence the lower selling prices for their products. There are some low quality products but there are good quality ones as well. Remember Huawei that's even leading in 5G technology? Have you forgotten the Note 7 fiasco or the S8 camera freeze?

China has been diligently learning all it can from western companies and has become a top of the pack manufacturer in the phone world. Only idiots spend 10 times more money on a product that gives them the same quality of a cheaper product just because it has a name.
If Samsung wants to charge more than other companies, they have to provide more, be it in hardware components, software components or customer support. That is what gave their name value and made them well known in the first place and if they forget about it once they are at the top someone else will take over (See Huawei for example)

You pay extra for a reliable brand who provide quality and support. Xiaomi are just trying to capture the Indian market before hiking prices. The brand isn't as established, and don't expect the same support. There's also the question of whether they are paying for patents, hence why they don't sell in the US.

Really even though Samsung charges $1000 for this it'll still gain attention regardless,just like Apple(XR) they are both so relevant,but the likes of Xiaomi will struggle because their relevant to only poor Asians anyway.
