Jaeger, 26 Jun 2019Considering A80 is near flasghip price, this A90 could be s... moreGalaxy A80 is already 110€ less than the S10e where I live, and this one has a flagship SoC plus 5G, this might even reach base S10 price.
(I'm not taking discounts etc in consideration, but base prices from each phone launches)

But why? We have the s10 for flagship?

Now this is intriguing me. This looks a lot like my internal rotating camera idea. But of course, it won't be, its some sort of Camera Stabilisation. :D
Let's see what it will be...

With a Snapdragon 855 though, could it be a cheaper flagship? I think it should be around 35-40k, given that SD675 phone from Sammy is around 28k.

Well.. tilt OIS may be just the OIS for that tilting camera. What else it could be..
And SD855 in other series will make it competitive only if price is really low. A70 costs INR28000 (US400$). So my guess is that A80 price will be around INR37000 (US530$). A90 price will be around INR45000 (US650$).
Dear Samsung we don't need multiple camera just give one proper main camera that of s10. Wide angle or telephoto lens can be justified. But depth sensor is really junk. We don't need UDFPS. 6.7" is huge for anyone. Give a 6" display. This could reduce manufacturing cost. hence selling price can be reduced and users will get affordable flagship at reasonable price.

Jaeger, 26 Jun 2019Considering A80 is near flasghip price, this A90 could be s... moreI don't think so, I think its gonna be a flagship, for example look at huawei, they have their p series, mate series which are flagships and don't forget the honor ones that are flagships as well but slightly cheaper, samsung is following huawei steps and strategy, their a ready to take over, like it or not I'll respect that, great move sammy.

So this is a budget flagship? l hope it doesn't have a punch hole and instead has a slider mechanism or a pop up camera. Other things it needs is connector jack, some level of water resistance, expandable storage and 90MHz refresh rate on the screen and I am sold.

BTW, why does Samsung need so many categories? you got Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, A series, M series, J series. They should just have the A series ranging from A10 to A90, with the A10 being the cheapest budget phone and A90 as their budget flagship, then moving to the S series with the standard S, S+ and then S Note as the best phone they can make.

Is Samsung trying to compete with their own S10e here? This doesn't seem like a very good idea, I'd only see "budget" 5G phones as a worthwhile investment if the network the phone was made for was completely developed.

Considering A80 is near flasghip price, this A90 could be slightly cheaper than S10e. I hope I'm mistaken.

Samsung is taking sh** seriously, I gotta thank the chinese though, thanks to them Sammy's getting better and better, without competition it would take years to see innovation from all these smartphone companies, this is absolutely fantastic and I'm loving it:)

When is the A990 coming? I am also excited about the A880,A840 and A19976578986450
