when iPhone put their camera on the upper left corner in a vertical manner
a lot of phone manufacturers copied it immediately and make some improvements to say its their "idea" it is not, but its called reinventing, was glad some phone don't copy that kind of trend

Most copied HTC's design, and improved upon it around that time - except Sony who stayed true to their Xperia design. Well, apple didn't really improve upon the design, even the 8 Plus still had 5 year old bezels.
Xiaomi and text below camera came before Huawei, just look at Mi Mix. The camera placement is centered and hence so is the text, but same thing just moved to the side by Huawei. So with your words Huawei copied it.
Camera placement in the top left corner has been a thing for at least 15 years and pre-dates the iphone. Motorola MPx, Samsung D500, Siemens SK65, Nokia 3230 and BenQ P31 are just some of those who had this in 2004. From that same time we find the Qtek 8010, it has the same "camera island" design we see on most phones today.
Funny thing about this camera island type of design it was HTC who brought it back to the modern smartphone first, in January 2015, with their Desire 326 and Desire 526. Apple sure likes HTC's design. Almost two years later Apple showed us their copy.
If everyone was to find a new placement for cameras and text, as well as design for camera modules, it would be quite frustrating and messy for us consumers, as well as motherboard design and battery size and placement.

It's a Mi 9 ( without a ring around main camera ) with Samsung galaxy A50/A70's white color and Oppo/Realme/Huawei/Honor/Redmi's vertical branding name and with 3.5mm jack , ir sensor
And it looks so elegant to be honest . Good job Xiaomi for copying everything from different brands and collecting them into one device.
