Moto Z2 Force is only getting Android 9 Pie on Verizon, despite past promises

All models were supposed to get last year's version of the OS, but it isn't happening.

Oh no... They're dragging the Moto G4 Plus Android 8.1.0 Oreo update drama saga again, now on Z2 Force, where in former case, users had to pressure Motorola first before G4 Plus was finally granted for Oreo update after they said G4+ we'll be left at Nougat with their siblings (vanilla G4 and G4 Play), updated 18 months later and being the last G series to be updated with 2 major OS... Will Z2 Force be the same thing as G4 Plus ? We'll see :/ ... Truthfully, this is ridiculous, as integrity has been broken again... Z2 Force is a (last) flagship from Motorola under Lenovo leadership, why on earth they abandoned it? I mean, this made LG look better, tho they're the same league when it comes to updating their devices...

This is horrible and unacceptable. Some techies make such hooplah about OP7 Pro’s lossless zoom being optical or not, but here the company is straightaway cheating its loyal customers! And, between all the fancy English and the meaningless apology, no reason is given as to why Motorola has reneged on its own promise.
Delivering 9 Pie(especially stock or close to stock) is not a complex process, phones far weaker specs wise have got the update. It is because Motorola is indulding in the unethical practice of “planned obsolescence”.
If this does not call for a boycott and a class-action lawsuit, I don’t know what does.

I don't see how it is anymore difficult than it has been in the past. They already have to certify it for 4G so there is no reason not to push it out minus 5G changes.

How can you trust an OEM if it can't keep it's promise. It's not a rocket science or complex as they claim it is a matter of integrity and pride in what you do. Moto lost it
