ridiculous to even consider it. more like spying than protecting the people.
anyways, those who need the message encryption can easily go elsewhere than public companies provide. Cryptocurrency or blockchains can handle encrypted messages

they ban huawei for "security concerns" of having backdoors... but now they want to implement backdoors on everything? :)

Of course their excuse for spying on you is because of terrorists, the usual child porn, yadayada. Then how come you never hear about them stopping terrorists before they attack? All this info they collect on us and never anything good to show for it, just more "requests and Bills to pass" to collect more data, even though they'll still do it anyways with or without a warrant.
At least in the US you guys have a Constitution that gives you the right to freedom and privacy. Here in Canada we have non of those rights, unfortunately we haven't got an Edward Snowden.
Then you have idiots that say, "Well if you got nothing to hide, why do you care?". Maybe because some of us aren't mindless attention seeking controlled zombies that were born with a right to freedom and privacy, and see this as a step into a always watching big brother dystopia. Go watch the movie 1984 see how happy they are, and say at the end of the movie "well if you got nothing to hide..."

Funny. The same people that say Huawei has backdoors in their equipment, want to implement other backdoors in communication services. Not at all hypocritical.

The US government is violating the 4th Amendment once again but this time nothing will actually be done about it because Americans are so brainwashed by the MSM that they refuse to acknowledge their own rights. Have nothing to hide? Just let the government search your phone. Oh, the 4th Amendment? Yeah that doesn't matter because I have nothing to hide, I'll just let them violate my rights anyway.
