MANUEL, 01 Jul 2019How to connect POCO F1 to Laptop through Hotspot ?First things first. You don't connect your phone (Poco F1) to your laptop for hot-spot (tethering) mode. What you do is, connect your laptop to your phone (Poco F1), which then allows your laptop access to the internet (but this will not allow your laptop to access the actual phone or its contents.
How you do this is, on your Poco F1, tap 'Settings/Portable hotspot' and enable it (by sliding the switch at the top labled 'Portable hotspot'. Then tap 'Set up portable hotspot' (next option below), then tap the 'Password' field and type in a password that you would like to use (make one up) and tap 'Done'. Make sure you have 'Mobile data' enabled.
Now on your laptop, enable WiFi and browse the list of available hotspots, and search for the one labelled 'Pocophone' (unless you renamed it), once found, select it and type in the password you chose earlier, when prompted. Your laptop should now be connected (and have access) to the internet via your phones (Poco F1s) hotspot.

I totally agree with Xiaomi's decision with the Open Beta. It was too open. Like all third-party users prefer the Beta than the stable due to the faster updates and them not even reporting bugs. It's like their benefiting from the supposed to be Beta Testers to use and suggest some changes within the UI.
Mostly the reason are the fast updates and ad-free interface.
