Hopefully this so called os will die a slow and expensive death and will take alphabet company into a deep deep grave of no return.

This operating system looks nice, but I am waiting for the defined use of this operating system. A desktop Android sounds nice, one that does not need hacks to run I guess. The name is just terrible. I do not even know how to pronounce that, nor will I try, but I am confident they will have a new name when this is ready to release. Perhaps Andromeda or Google Plus.

In other words they want operating systems to start using scripting and other web influences while being based on some sort of sophisticated framework similarly to android - do i get this right

The 10x faster developer rate than 0.1% slower run....you will never see that difference in RL apps and it will be much cheaper to run and mantain. also you can run native code on flutter apps. and just maybe you just tried flutter in the simulator and not in real devices?

Isaac tech guy, 30 Jun 2019Android os: successful Chrome os for PC: Fail Fuchsia os:... moremeh, don't like chrome OS, but it is hardly a failure. They have strong push in the education sector - sector that needs tech, but don't have funds to run tech...so unless you are in design/business school thats a hard no to Apple.

Chrome offers a way for disadvataged groups to access net on the cheap, without much compromise. This is also great for education as the devices are cheap, easy to maintain and obviously you do have full options for IT admins to have full controls too.

It's not the best, but for people who want a cheap laptop for browsing and basic office work, its great. That's what its designed for, and itis actually doing very well.

Write once, run everywhere. I worked with Sun on the use case concept graphics back in the 1990s. Microsoft killed Sun by adopting the Internet later than sooner so corporates didn't take it seriously until Microsoft did. And so the disaster that was Flash happened instead. That's what happens when there is an innovation vacuum.
Hopefully Fuchsia is the perfect all in one OS.
