This water-resistant feature making smartphone even more durable and you can harass-free with water. As for flagship become expensive so the water-resistant become a basis required for durability, if it doesn't come with water-resistant, it may get dust faster and you will stay away from any water juice liquid.

I went through 2 S10 5G and both have water ingress issue. The camera would fog up on the inside

WHY THOUGH, 04 Jul 2019???What is not clear? I dived, what, good 1m in sea for a good 2-3min to take some photos.
When I came out i poured normal water over it and over the connectors to clear the salt and let it dry.

The problem here is not wether the phone can survive salty water or not, the problem here is that Samsung probably wont honor the warranty of the phone if you take it to them for anything and they confirm the phone has been exposed to salty water.
All that Samsung has to do is clarify they will still honor your warranties if the damage on the phone wasn't caused by salty water exposure.
