Not even close. Stax, Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, JBL, Bose , Jabra and plenty of others, actually make the best ones out there. Not Sony.

Now, look up what the actual best headphone producers can do. Like what Audeze, Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser and those. You know, the brands who _actually_ care about how sound is reproduces.
Sony is amongst the better of the typical factory line manufacturers. Those doing it the Beats way. It's a different ball park from the best.

It's one of the top players in audio, up there with the likes of final, AT, Stax, Fostex, Pioneer, etc. Some of Panasonic's high end stuff is really great too (like the RP-HD10).

A fully charged case can charge the earphones three times. Hence, with NC 6 +18 = 24 and without NC 8+24 = 32 hours.
