Google Pixel 4 may have 16 MP telephoto lens

The information has been revealed by code in the Google Camera app.

It's not a Google product unless it's inferior to it's competitors.

I guess Google will add the 3rd Ultra-Wide camera when all competitors have added 4th TOF camera &/or equivalent.

    So... Bad. They were forcing theirs digital zoom and now adding that useless telephoto camera... Eh. Skipping pixel again :(

        LG G5 + Pixel 3 is my new perfect combination. With my Essential Phone dead, this duo is perfect for photos. My G5 was ready to be sold or thrown against the wall. Now it became my favorite again as it no longer overheats or disconnects to Wi-Fi since updating it.

        I have no need for Telephoto. The High Res Zoom on the Pixel 3 is actually very good. The Night Sight is quite amazing too. And I don't need wide-angle either when my G5 still takes brilliant photos for a 3-year-old model. The new 3200 mAh really helped too. I streamed Stranger Things on my Netflix app and it ran very cool.

        No need to keep wasting money on phones.

          They told Sony the specs they wanted , Sony made.
          Same applies to Apple, Samsung amd Sony Mobile.

          The rest buys whatever is available from the portfolio.
          Sensors that anyone can purchase.
          For example Pixel 2 , U11, Moto G5+ and Zenfone 4 use same sensor.

          Smaller non-stacked are much cheaper.
          Imx586 costs $25 ...
          Of course a regular 12MP 1/2.55" is way cheaper.

              Must be the same exmor 16MP 1/3.6" used by mi9.

                Pixel 4 may also have a pop up camera on top of a huge notch..lol weird headlines

                  16MP Telephoto but make sure the main sensor is either Huawei's IMX600 (from Mate 20 Pro) or IMX586.
