I bet everybody will copy this camera design starting with Sony 6 camera phone then Samsung Apple Xiaomi etc.
One company in this case Huawei is always innovative where others just copy and paste like usualy.

Huawei has very good camera especially the back (I don't bring my digital camera everywhere, so I use my phone). The signal reception of Huawei phone is also excellent which is very important for basic mobile phone function.

I recently changed to an OPPO reno 10x zoom from a Huawei p20 and the signal strength is much worse. I also previously had Xiaomi flagships which had even worse signal than the Oppo. In China, Huawei and ZTE are renowned for having better signal strength for calls and data than other brands like Xiaomi, Apple, Oneplus, Vivo and Oppo (at least on their flagships) . Regret not sticking with Huawei this time

innovation? not sure what did huawei innovate.... i would more say, they are just too loud about the things what other chipmakers are taking for granted.
for example, dedicated AI in the Soc. not sure did Huawei did it first or Apple.
Snadragon SoC had AI years before Kirin but it wasn't hardware based but SW based. Since Qualcomm didnt use this info in marketing, no one knew about it. thats my point.
I am really curious what Huawei invented.

its th... moreThe real-world performance of flagship phones is pretty much equal at this point. The Snapdragon 855 might slightly outperform the Kirin 980 in benchmarks but for 99.99% of users, they will never be able to notice a difference in performance.
We performance being mostly equal, camera quality and battery life are probably the most important things for most users and Huawei phones tend to beat competitors in both at every price point. The better question would be why do people not buy Huawei, honestly.

its the same price as samsung or sony or htc or any other flagship which uses snapdragon SoC which is way much better.
not to mention xiaomi or oppo and vivo....
whats the secret? how did huawei hypnotized you? :)
i am not spreading word of hate here, i am just curious...how did huawei won your hearts?
if its only because of the better picture, then i have no more comment.

Circular seems like an invention of some hipster on bath salts. Rectangular camera setup looks much better with back cover photo of Arnold Schwarzenegger aiming with M202 Flash quad rocket launcher. Yeah, try this with circular setup.

well I wont be using Huawei in the future.
First comes the block on unlocking bootloader from their direct site and support saying they stopped due to bal bla bal making it impossible to put custom roms on.
Second comes the Trump ban and mixed talks of it being removed.
And now comes the cryppy camera placements
Moving to the Mi or oppo for the future as I can no longer put my faith in Huawei products.

Not the first time someone is fooling the media with last years Mate 20's(Standard) case as Mate 30's case .
The cutout is for both Camera and Finger print scanner.

Rectangle is for mate 30 but the circular for the mate 30 pro.
