No headphone jack? That could put me off the whole thing. A wired connection is simpler, more reliable and usually has technically superior audio.

The fact is companies sending jack a goodbye kiss apple was one of firsts now samsung.
In next 2-3 years Sony, LG, HTC, Huawei, Nokia, Lenovo, Motorola, Xiaomi etc will follow.
Anything which reduce cost of expenses but is able to keep the price is good for bussiness.
Its not mine decision is their decision.
But as Apple did not heard its customers and fanbase when released Iphone 7 without jack same goes to any other company.
They will remove it and you have nothing but to ascend over it and stop trying to win a war where a simple peasant is trying to defeat a behemont with fork or shovel.

All readers, this guy is declaring war to everyone because of Samsung going to remove headphone jack on upcoming flagship, and seems like he doesn't really understand the true meaning of some of the comments here. He called analogue audio port is completely useless feature, stupid hole for modern world, removing jack is good for business, bad for IP rating, Bluetooth killed jack long time ago, etc. Let us ask him, why on earth so many musicians, sound engineering, audio enthusiasts, DJ, producer, stillusing analogue jack? How about those mixer? XLR port? RCA port on TV/Home theatre system? Audio amp listed under pro-audio, Hi-res audio? Guy, the point being, Samsung is removing one of many ways to listen to music through smartphone.

At this point, there are more phones with Bluetooth than there is phones with a jack.
