What was Xiaomi thinking with that 720p+ screen? While the Mi CC9 seems to be holding its own against the Redmi K20, the CC9e may be a dud.

Still no compact phone like 5.6 incher..just wondering

    The box for the Mi A3 already leaked right? Wasn't it a 665? I believe it is 1080p however which gives it a big leg up on the CC9e. I don't know what will happen with the larger variant. The 665 should be good enough, but a 675 would be better obviously. When you don't like phablets in 2019 you have to make some compromises. I personally don't like the phones with screens larger than 6", they're just not comfortable. I can use them, but the size becomes the compromise instead of something else.

        They're both promising but flawed. If the CC9 had a Snapdragon 730 it'd be the perfect phone for it's price. If the CC9e had a Snapdragon 675 and a 1080p screen then it would be the perfect phone for its price bracket. The rest they have to offer is great, including NFC, IR blaster, micro SD, headphone jack, large battery, and promising looking cameras.

        I'm not too excited about the android one versions though. Even if they do get the upgraded SOCs android one is too bare bones and feature lacking

          1. Front design - Notch vs holes vs teardrop vs top bezel vs rotating/popup camera to give full screen experience
          2. Aspect ratio 16:9 vs take display ratio
          3. Alternate OS
          4. User data privacy & security
          5. OIS enabled camera or depth sensor

              I couldn't care less about phones with a skin on it. Just release an upgraded Mi A3 and I'm sold!

                CC9 aka Mi A3 pro with SD 710 not SD 730 for 100% sure.

                    [deleted post]I don't think Mi Mix, Vivo Nex, Oppo Find X, Huawei P30 Pro, etc. copied any phone.

                      I guess one can live with 720p+ on 4.7-5.1" screen.

                        how this phone loved ? still we don't know how its camera works specially in low light and also don not know its durability. So, how people fall in love with this phone ?
