Add another 100-150 Euros to that for a mediocre wireless/bluetooth headset as i assume the phones will no longer be shipped with a set of wired buds.

As an umbrella when it rains? Throw it in the washing machine to clean it? As a rafting paddle? Or just paranoid that the phone will drop into their cereal bowl?
Its a phone, people. It doesn't always to be attached to your body at all times. I can understand if its a watch since its supposed to be strapped on your wrist, or Go Pro since its designed to be used in extreme conditions. But phone? Just put it in a pocket or bag.
And removable batteries are extremely useful. Think why digital cameras, drones, and Go Pro still using removable batteries? Because you can just swap the battery in few seconds and you're good to go for another shooting session.

I do not want to sound ignorant but the people complains a lot like it îs such a big deal the lack of headphone Jack. If you use your headphones and you bought some expensive 3.5mm headphones just dont buy the damn phone (Note 9 and others without a Jack).
Anyways the people try to hang up so bad to the headphones. They do not see the future mean less wires. I agree the Bluetooth Headphones are still bad, but surely în the future maybe with the Bluetooth 6.0 they will get at the level of 3.5mm Jack.
All of you should grow up and get the Phone which suits your needs. Time will resolve everything. Nothing gets resolve complaining on tech forums.

Want a jack? Get LG
Flat screen? Go look somewhere else..
Battery? It's not even out yet, no battery benchmark yet. Maybe nokia 3310 is the best for you??

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2019Yep. Wouldn't even buy it for $100. No 3.5mm jack, fragile ... moreIt's easy to call something bad. After you use the phone you start to admire it yourself. And the Samsung screens are absolutely nuts you can't come back to IPS or even any other oled after using them. Burn-ins only occur if you use your phone on max brightness 24/7 and dark themes. And for the battery, it has always been great, if you think that a low cost phone can provide better battery just lower the resolution to equal to match the cheaper phone instead of complaining. I don't understand what people want and why they are never happy whatever companies do.

I think Samsung ended it's iconic design with this phone. Hole in centre also looks kinda weird but can't say much until I see in person.

But yes, you also need to factor in the batteries. Good BT headphones don't come cheap. You sure you want to throw away that 200+$ when the battery will get ruined? The headphones themselves work but they're useless without the battery.
At the very minimum just buy hybrid headphones. The Jack for those with common sense, BT for the rest that convinced themselves this is the future or have very low standards and can tolerate audio latency

But those babbling about "the future" were the same guys who were happy to see non-removable batteries, saying how "it's totally not a big deal" or "There is a choice, just buy a $100 phone". Guess what? No choice anymore. Gee, who would have guessed it? Not the "future"-crowd, that's for sure.

Where did it take us?
Microsoft with disgusting Windows 10 forced auto updates and irrepairable Surface products on Windows.
Apple with soldered SSDs on Macbooks.
Apple and Google, especially the latter, censoring stuff on their services because it does not conform with idealogies from the Left crowd.
Not everything new is good.

Why such a big prices ? does they think that, this phone can beat a large sensor camera or large sensor camera phones ? or does They think that this device is a alternative of a high end Gaming PC/MAC/LAPTOP ?

Plenty of Chinese knock off w headphone jack, buy from those if you so much wish to keep compatibility w aging hardware. If not just buy USB c wired or bluettoth wireless, heck you can buy an adapter from your aging hardware even. Plenty of options, stop complaining about non issues.

Both would be a bad thing and "future" should not be used as some magical word meaning "better reality, evolution". It simply isn't that. You gain nothing with the removal of the 3.5mm jack, it doesn't prevent you from using bluetooth if you prefer it. At the same time there are tons of arguments against the bluetooth Yet it doesn't mean it should be removed as a feature, right?).

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2019Indeed. Plus, global warming supposedly is the future too. ... moreSmh "Global Warming". Broda this îs a natural heating of the Earth after the Ice Age. The polution of humans just amplifies the efect and hurry the things up a bit. But the Global Warming begun with the Ice Age when the ice started melting. Nowadays we still live in this process of melting ice until another Ice Age will come.
So the Global Warming was the past, is the present and will be the future. Don't talk about Things you dont know enough. Also bad comparasion with the future of 3.5mm jack.
