It will be when they provide the exact same audio quality (BT is inferior) and the exact same 0 latency (BT is horrible for this) all at the exact same power consumption (BT again is bad for that).
Hey if a technology delivers less quality material, slower and at the expense of energy in a device where energy is at a premium, it doesn't quite surpass the older tech no?
Oh wait. I see. "Less is more". In that case, BT is miles more.

Don't live ahead of the future. Like I wouldn't buy an electric car today because of solid-state batteries. The current batteries are a stopgap measure and NOT the future.

No 3.5mm jack, fragile and uncomfortable screen (Curved + dead pixels), not the best battery (They've never been among the best in this department and that "feature" is pretty important, especially for a flagship where you pay tons of money and in return you'd expect the battery to not degrade over a year or two at best, and for that you need a battery that will not be charged 2-3 times a day).

Even with carrier prices or deals these prices are getting insane.
50 to 60 bucks extra for just the base model or more storage. Even up to like 70 bucks a month. For just one device.
Let alone to just buy it. You can get a car cheaper that might run well it at least last you while.
