Without Snapdragon 730, Mi A3 is dead-born !
We already have weak CC9e !
It's enough disaster the glass body, instead of the
cool metal back of the Mi A2 !
Xiaomi always finds how to spoil otherwise a
perfect phone !

Redmi k20(non pro) and poco have the same value while poco has a superior performance k20 has better build, cameras, display xith no notch

Anonymous, 13 Jul 2019There is two similar (new) phones from Xiaomi and with MIUI... moreThis should be the case. But with Xiaomi's recent claim that the upcoming A-series will be cheaper than the A2/A2 lite (despite the AMOLED+ in-display fingerprint), I suspect a downgrade with A2 having SD665 and A2 lite SD660.
It's hard to imagine that all the A-series with Android 1 will be cheaper than the Mi counterpart with equal hardware. I guess Xiaomi is changing standpoints on software marketability especially in India.

sm4rt4ss, 13 Jul 2019The screen size just doesn't make sense. A3 should be 6.2" ... moreGood, not everyone wants to carry a huge plate in their purse all the time, smartphones are getting bigger and bigger which isn't necessarily a good thing.

It would be better if they'd put a Snapdragon 730 or 712.

With that chipset 665, it's DOA. Needs a 675 at minimum

The Mi A3 design reminds me of Redmi Note 7 now with stock android UI on it.

The screen size just doesn't make sense. A3 should be 6.2" or 6.4". A3 should be 6.0" or 5.8". Or maybe xiaomi is making a compact (5.5") Andorid One phone?

Seems like Xiaomi has finally woken up to it's senses for omission in their previous Mi A2.

Seems to me like a rebranded Mi CC9e, if you just look at the chin. If this is actually the best Xiaomi Android One phone..I'd be underwhelmed. Hopefully, it's just the lesser A3. I bet it'll be more expensive than its predecessors due to that AMOLED display.

Carlos Chiu, 13 Jul 2019Lol what?some people prefer more features over performance and updates.
Stock android may have faster security updates, but lack certain features that appeal to some users.

I also see a IrDa blaster at the top, sweet !!
Glad to hear about the Headphone Jack and microSD.
Now if they can make the Xiaomi Mi 3, and Xiaomi Mi 3 Lite, just the same phone but slightly upgraded specs that would be best. As in, give the Pricier/Larger Xiaomi Mi 3 the QSD 730 chipset, 6.4in screen, and 4,000mAh battery. And give the Cheaper/Smaller Xiaomi Mi 3 Lite the QSD 665 chipset, 6.0in screen, and 3,600mAh. Anywhere from 4GB to 8GB RAM, and 64GB to 256GB storage is sufficient.
It's basically a "Flagship Killer", just missing IP68 protection, USB 3.1-C, and front-firing stereo loudspeaker, things that can be forgiven at such low prices.
