A retailer in Russia has the unannounced smartphone in its database, but no pics or price yet.

        HTC used to make great phones. The 2011-2013 sizes were delicious. I could go for an updated refresh of some ancient HTC, like the Wildfire S, or the Touch 2, with the same body but bigger capacitive display. The original Touch 2 barely had a 3" display, the refresh could go maybe up to 3.5", like the original iPhone but guess what? It would be enough to make me happy.

I feel like phone sizes used to be much more diverse in the past, there were plenty of small and large phones to choose from, now nearly every phone is a damned phablet... Just checked and in 2019 we've had only 3 phones released in European market with dimensions under 150 x 70 mm - all of which were from Samsung by the way. Ridiculous.

                HTC should offer us more throwback designs. I really enjoyed their designs from 2007-2016. Their last flagship with a metal build was the HTC 10. And when I mean by throwback, I mean full metal builds and a little bit smaller no larger than the M9 & 10.

                I would be running out to buy OnePlus if they weren't so large. I was also one of the few who enjoyed BlinkFeed. Apple and Google copied with their own news feeds but BlinkFeed looked better especially when it first appeared on the M7. And I've tried Flipboard which BlinkFeed copied from and BlinkFeed still looked better.

                BlinkFeed wasn't perfect by any means though. It was just news stuff to "snack" on. There would be times it kept refreshing older stories and didn’t have much choices to get news from. I just loved the look of it with the weather on top.

                        No worries. I made the same mistake too until I checked the videos for it. It's really that tiny. Made me reminisce about phones from 8-9 years ago. We've come a long way since.

                            Crazy to think how small phones were back in 2011. I remembered when I first saw the HTC Evo 4G while I was carrying an iPhone 4 back in 2010, I was surprised by how large the Evo was. Guess what? It only had a 4.3" display and wasn't even taller than an iPhone 5!

                            In 2010, I remember seeing the Dell Streak at Best Buy. That was actually considered the first phablet before the first Galaxy Note that followed in 2011. The Streak was YUGE to me in 2010 but only had a 5" display!

                            If you go back to the first Galaxy Note in 2011, that would be considered "compact" today. It's no bigger than a smaller Pixel 3 but wider. I hope HTC can offer us a throwback of the Nexus One design (AKA HTC Passion). It basically looked like the Desire with a trackball. Or a throwback of the HTC One M7.

                            I know the M7, M8, and M9 would have huge top and bottom bezels for their BoomSound, but I miss the full metal build. I hate the glass sandwich phones of today. I also miss that M7 size. There's barely any new phones I like these days. Same big glass designs.

                              5.45" is nothing spectacular, it's usually accompanied by thick bezels so it ends up being same size as regular bezel-less 6" phones... Seen it before on Redmi 7A, Nokia 3.1 C or Nokia 1 Plus... One has to wonder how long will it take the manufacturers to realize that they can make BOTH ~5" screen and bezel-less design for a fantastic compact phone.
