Of course I cannot speak about weather the guy is a good person or not, but with all the resources and all the popularity he has, he has the responsibility to do something good with it, not just him all those influencers with big audiences, at least that's my personal opinion.

You want to post videos about durability tests, then carry out a proper durability test. If you want to smash the video to pieces because that's what gets views, then either call it something else or do that once you've carried out a proper test. Otherwise you're doing not much more than showing off you got a lot of money.

AnonD-794992, 16 Jul 2019If you dont like it then dont watch it! Stop crying like sp... moreThe very first statement I said is "I cannot watch the guy", which in case you have any doubts means I already don't watch him. Of course I had to watch a few of his videos to know they are not worth watching. You call me a spoiled child when you are the one throwing a tantrum for making a statement against a youtuber you like.

The big small cameras and brand line isn't looks nice, the line makes the phone looks taller than usual. The big small camera should be equal bigness.

Carol, 16 Jul 2019He's tests are actually genuine and can be very helpfull fo... moreYeah but that's exactly what these videos fail to show - as you said, water test and drop test are what people care about most, yet this 'durability test' doesn't test those situations at all. 'Grill party gone wrong' - I assume it might happen, but since there's probably only 1 out of 1 million devices break in fire, is it really necessary in a 'durability test'? You could as well test its resistance against a crossbow, yes it might happen but it's not what I'd call a regular real-life situation.

So the only usable 'durability' test there is the bend test, but since Zack doesn't use any relevant apparatus, the results will never be 100% reliable because a) human is not a machine and his strength changes over time and b) it opens room to bribery - I'm not saying it's actually happening, but considering how popular his videos are, manufacturers could possibly bribe Zack so he simply 'does not try too hard' on their important model.

Anyway. My issue isn't with Zack, as I said I like him and he can do whatever content he wants, I'm just pointing out that his 'entertainment' videos certainly shouldn't be called 'durability tests' because they're more of an elementary material check.

CompactPhones5ever, 16 Jul 2019Baykko: "It feels terrible to support a guy that's wasting ... moreHe's tests are actually genuine and can be very helpfull for people who own this devices or want to buy them, first to see how their devices holds up, and how they do in hard situations, like yeah, Grill party gone wrong for the devices, or the well known in Toilette drop, or concrete, and even bending in the pocket. So, i would like that to be made on a nokia 9 to see if the devices (looking so fragile) can withstand the jerry.

Baykko: "It feels terrible to support a guy that's wasting thousands of dollars on phones only abuse them in ways that are NOT EVEN REALISTIC FOR A DURABILITY TEST."

^THIS! THIS, so much. I actually like Zack, he seems like a genuinely nice guy, but these 'durability' tests are absolute trash. He spents half of the video scratching the phone which could've been done within 10 seconds, obligatory 'scratches at level 6 with deeper grooves at level 7' meme, then does some completely useless fire test (seriously? Who wacks their phone in fire? Like 1 person in 100 million?) and then finally gets to bending which is sorta relevant but GOTCHA he actually does it with his hands so phone better prays Zack had a light breakfast. Zero relevant testing aparature - you could legit make a more relevant testing device with 2 bricks, a string and a set of weights, but nooo, have to do it the neanderthal way with zero relevant results. I mean he has almost 4 million subscribers he could make absolutely fantastic durability tests including DROP TEST (which is #1 what people care most about when it comes to durability) and WATER TEST (a #2). How cool it would be if we could actually see a relevant water resistance test, instead of some Punjeet washing it in a sink, then wiping the screen and claiming the phone is waterproof?

Oppo makes great hardware. Sadly Color OS isn't.

I cannot watch that guy. It feels terrible to support a guy that's wasting thousands of dollars on phones only abuse them in ways that are not even realistic for a durability test. One should elaborate a testing process that emulates daily usage and expand each step a bit further of what would be daily usage, not take a phone that's worth 1.200 like an IPhone XS Max and then scratch it with a razor all around as if it everyone has a disabled sibling waiting for you to leave your phone on a table give it a shave or burn it wiith fire.

At least the people making stuff out of matches to burn them create cool stuff with them before they burn them up.
