Then they announce they are moving to 12MP 1.55 micron.
I laugh how in 2019 they make people believe pixel size matters.

Today was announced a Full Frame with 61MP, Sony A7R4.
Pixels have 1/5 of the size compared to the 12MP A7S2.
But even A7R3 (42MP) and A7 (24MP) could already beat A7s2 in low light scenes.

All this due to new technologies.

Samsung will take the Huawei route. Expect 40+ MP sensor (likely exclusive one similar to P30 Pro). Good, Samsung is finally getting serious about their hardware.

No super speed storage 3.0 ,no nothing new so until now nothing is worthy.
Hope Huawei mate 30 pro is better.
No wonder many Samsung fans move to Huawei.
Samsung is copying Apple for the profit.
S10e is the most important off them all because is small and easy to use.
A70 has more power than, the future Note 10 and can last 3 days of average usage!
Let's what DeX does and the new stylus.

Two USB-Cs on the bottom is all it needed. Ports like these are smaller than the headphone jack boards inside so give full use of the space.

Next year Samsung should use 1 inch sensor with 100MP resolution and Quad bayer with f1-2.4 variable aperture (true variable not just jump from 1 to 2.4), 120° Ultra wide angle with autofocus and same sensor as main camera with variable aperture and Quad bayer, Periscope camera with 50x digital zoom and f1.8 and ToF sensor on both front and back for secure faceunlock and Portraits

Too bad that there will not have a headphone jack starting in S11. Not even a 1/1.x sensor sized 64MP Quad Bayer will not entice me to buy something from Samsung unless they have Two USB-C ports where one can be used for the dongle jack and the other for charging.

"Since they are Quad Bayer type sensors they will natively output 16MP and 12MP photos, respectively."
Not natively. There are two modes. The smartphone company decides which mode is used.

new sensor every 4-5 years? , just wow !!!

Welcome to the 20th century Sammy.

It would be very interesting if Samsung would introduce their higher megapixel sensors on their flagships. Then majority of flagships will continue on doing so.. *cough* Apple *cough*
