Anonymous, 18 Jul 2019tell that to guys who bought xr... In fact the only reason I didn't buy the xr was the display. How come we spend around 750 bucks and don't get a FHD display?

Mi A3 is now available unofficially in UAE for AED 800 for the 64GB/4GB

I hope Xiaomi will soon announce a Mi A3 Pro with CC9 specs (and it will my next device after my Mi 6, if i can wait the temptation to buy a Mi 9SE or Mi 9T...)
Ok even this Mi A3 is almost nice, with a street price near 200€ very soon, BUT the really one thing i cannot know why is the lack of NFC on an Android One Phone.
Holy God, on a AO phone there are Google's aps and one of their service is Google Pay and you do not give it on all your phones?!?
This is the real flaw of this device (i know it was missing even in the previous phones, but now Google Pay is available almost worldwide and it is mature).

And consider that it is a bit smaller than Redmi Note 7 (check Mi 9Se price and Mi 9T price...Mi 9 SE official price is higher than mi 9T....miniaturizing phones does cost)

Funny how people mad, angry, complaint about it. But how many Android one phones out there ( new Android one phone out there) that selling this price with these hardware specs?

And if Android one isn't your cup or tea, for hardware specs like this if you're buying from the others, like Samsung, Sony, LG etc, etc. It would be at least 350 to 449 ( if not close to 500).

The price is taken from German news site so I would say that is official german pricing? I doubt the price will be 250€ in China, so the imports from there, like we all imported A2 from China, will be much cheaper. If I would have to guess 250$ will be starting price for A3 Pro in China.

720p for a mainstream phone in 2019 is dumb. I wonder who made that decision in Xiaomi.

Anders, 17 Jul 2019I'll do what I want thanks buddy. Android one is over hyped... moreYup,In Mi A2 these guys have used worst possible camera app even with tag of Android One.
Even if you use 48 MP hardware if software is bad then image will be bad as well. What OLED they are shouting about it saves battery in Dark Mode who in there right mind uses phone in dark mode in Day outdoors you can use dark mode only in nights. So 250 euro for this makes no sense.Talking about Android One which one of their Mi A1 & A2 isn't full of bugs after their first major update this will also go down the drain.

Wow so many comments. I think there will be Mi A3 Pro or something like that powered by Snapdragon 730 and better overall specs. I prefer same colors as blue one is really cool.

paco2x, 17 Jul 2019If you put aside the Android One feature, the Galaxy A50 is... moreGreat observation. A50 is the nearest competitor on feature and price. A50 price might have been lowered over time so A50 would be preferred only OS and brand preference matters most.
IF people wants to game on these, people should choose the one with the most metal for the body which is the MiA3 for better heat dissipation.

The choice of screen resolution might be due higher pricing of AMOLED or Super AMOLED from source (Samsung). In order to retain a lower price tag, 720p is used rather than 1080P. Compared to the previous version Mi A2, this Mi A3 has 3.5mm jack, microSD card slot and with 720p display, 4030mAH is a massive battery especially when paired with new SoC SD665. The pentile-matrix' (perceived) resolution might be lower than LCD but it is only noticiable when users were always comparing two phones side by side and nitpicking. Human eyes can adapt no matter what resolution it has, so I guess the resolution of the AMOLED is a non-issue compared to what the overall phone features has.

                            Overpriced piece of 720p

no, 17 Jul 2019 Many of you are really disappointed for having HD+ display... moreWhy people are angry is not because how it stacks against previous Mi A devices, rather they are angry because how devices from other brands have evolved in the past year and from Xiaomi itself. But with Mi A3 it seems way too overpriced given it's specs and for what, just for Android one, that too have had buggy incremental updates from Xiaomi for the last 2 generations of Mi A devices.
Even comparing it to Redmi Note 7 Pro, apart from Android one, it just seems lackluster and not even taking prices into consideration.

i bet that noone from this forum can see the difference between 720 and 1080 on such small screen. You can see it on small text at 10'' tablet but even on 10'' it is very small in a movie or game

720p, Xiaomi really not serious about Android one program

Pathetic product from pathetic company. Used to be a member of Mi Fans, but now..... *sigh.

If this is a 1080p phone for even 300 euros, you guys can bid farewell to Google's 3a series. Now, why would Google shoot it's own foot? 🤔
