    Still don't get the point of Instagram though. Their users must have been like: If only there was another social site operated by Facebook where I could share pictures like on Facebook and people could like and comment on them like on Facebook.

        Lets hope this feature keeps expanding and that Instagram has balls to keep it going even after the revolt of the so called "influencers"

            This is a very good move from Instagram. I've seen some friends/society are willing to nude/flash or doing some crazy stuff endangering their lives just for likes. I mean what do you get from likes? personal satisfaction? Meh. Facebook should also have implement this feature.

              wait and see we will be asked to wear all the same colour of clothes. Just wait and see

                Good thing this will put an end to Instagram “celebrity" epidemic

                  If this is enabled by default and/or they don't provide option to turn it off, I can see some (if not a lot of) outcries.

But likes still play a major part. You'll still see the most liked content at the top of your feed and search tab. But I do think it's a great idea. People since the dawn of time want power and popularity and Instagram made it saturated for anyone to get that, this may change things up a lil and could be a positive way forward for social media.

                      Instagram is going to fail as a platform if the self important cannot let others see their likes.

                        About damn time. Hopefully we'll see less of shitty "instagram models" and "life hack" videos. I think it's a great move by instagram.
