All virgin routers are 2.4 and 5 GHz but you can't jump from one to the other unless you go into your WiFi and select the one your not using. These phones connect to both automatically so you don't have to bother

This feature what I waiting for long! Now I can connect two wifi at the same time for better speed. Specially for connecting to internet cafe that provide 2.4GHz and 5GHz. For you that said it was useless, well maybe you never know the speed difference between 2.4GHz and 5GHz in public networks. With this I can combine the speed from 2.4GHz and 5GHz for better speed and latency. And maybe you will said again "this useless because you connect to same router" well, in my case, one device just limited to 2MB/s per devices. The router and network itself capable of giving up to 24.5MB/s. So it really greats for me. I already test this with connectify and got 4MB/s combined with 5GHz and 2.4GHz.

You don't need to steal your neighbor's Wi-Fi to use this feature lol. The Chinese smartphone companies should come up with more useful and original features like Dual Wi-Fi, maybe then more people will take them seriously and see them more than just mere copycats.

I guess one of the Wifi connections can be used to connect to the internet, and the second Wifi could be used to emit an Internet Connection/Hotspot.
This way, you can use it as a cheap extender. Especially useful when the phone is "obsolete" and you can use it around the house for Wifi-Mesh and Security Cam.

Amit, 18 Jul 2019I can understand LTE n WiFi together.. but how many times d... moreThere is no need 2 separate wifi/hotspot. When you have router that support 5 Ghz wifi it will transmit 1 network on two frequencies both 2,4 ghz and 5ghz. So what oppo and vivo does is just simply connect on that both frequencies rather than just one frequency. Thats really great when it comes to open such demanding low lantecy app, but i think surely it will cost more power than normal wifi connectivity.

This...is actually phenomenal. It's like GoogleFi but with Wi-Fi. I just wonder how this is achieved considering Qualcomm has never advertised that their chipsets can do this.

Weary nice. Thumb up. Samsung has something similar. It is called Download booster. It combines LTE and wifi together. Weary nice again to Oppo and Vivo.
