At last, Moto will have the spot light just like they had years ago!
No doubt that the first Android updates will arrive first for Moto, then to all the others.
And they desearve it, the really have good devices, well designed, and not copy all the others like Samsung.

Apple can't compete? Yet they have grown year on year, including the highest profit quarter in tech history. iPhone now commands 75% of smartphone profits. Apple shares have breached 500 mark, cementing it's position as largest market cap company, bigger than Exxon.
Yeah sure, Apple can't compete lol.

Samsung will never die!!! It makes great hardware, it makes the sense because crappy motophones need good hardware to function.

Imagine the imaging from Nokia, the touch fluidity of iPhone, the combined efforts of ARM and Medfield, and app/software compatibilty on top of that. The closest thing to this is the Tizen. It's a combination of the work of Linux, Intel, Samsung, and Nokia.

Tried iPhone, nice but with many (on purmose) flaws. Uses WP7.5 phone now, just great, never crashed, only soooooo not fun. Uses different Android products as well but, fun but open source has it's drawbacks as well in terms of stability...
Uses Nokia Simbian Belle as wel, good catch-up (finally...altough too late as nokia is killing itself).
In short, just leave room for all as they all make sence and all form a part of the comm world today and tomorrow.
Sadly enough the big players don't give the good example with all their ridicule lawsuits

Again this comment, how you define which is better? I know if you compare android phones against each other it easy to say which one is better than another, but iPhone with iOS is different story you cant blindly compare it against android phones. It's same if you compare pc with Mac or Linux etc. It so different world you cant say which one is better.
People buy iPhones because it's get good reviews all time and is always winner or at least top three phone in every huge mobile phone test's, people recommend it each other and also it has won every jd customer satisfaction polls (6 times a row). So clearly the iPhone has some IT factory?

I guess what I'm trying to say is as long as Apple is living, they will remain as one significant presence in the industry (business-wise).
Apple tried to match Microsoft in the computer industry but failed to match the user friendliness and efficiency of MS. As a result, they made the CPU and Monitor's physical looks and designs as the main selling point of their computers. Also, they were able to command a high price simply because they did not target the mass market.
Now, Apple is trying to gain ground against the consistently growing Android OS. Apple had the headstart here but failed to impress true techies. Again, Apple can't match the flagships of other manufacturers when it comes to hardware. So they turn again to design and sold their devices at a high premium.
Most people today who will buy iPhones will buy it not because they know what they can do with it but because it is a status to own an iPhone. There are other phones a whole lot better than iPhones but people WILL buy iPhones.
ME: I don't like Apple products simply because they are too expensive. The device is expensive, content is expensive, peripherals are expensive.
BUT: I respect Apple for their business intelligence. They are so good at advertising their products that I think they can sell airconditioners in Alaska.

There has never been competition between Mac and Microsoft.
Microsoft have always been a leader in computer software OS and no one has been able to beat that.
In mobile phones, Nokia have been the leader upto 2008... But after Android and IOS have come into the picture, Nokia have lost out. Microsoft may not make it big in the mobile phone World, atleast for the next few years, however in the computer World, Microsoft would always be the leader with regards to Software OS. Havent you heard of the next big thing from Microsoft. Windows 8....
Windows 8 may even do wonder in the mobile phone sector, let's wait and watch.

I don't hate apple at all.
I'm starting to hate apple when I see that apple is trying to sue android just because they can't compete with android. In my eyes, apple were a coward, and I don't want to use their product at all. I don't want to support them, and be glad to see them die because of their anti competitive behavior.

As long as Apple lives there will be competition. Before, it was Mac VS Microsoft, now its Android VS iOS. Competition is good though, since it makes manufacturers strive to produce better products. Apple is great in its own right though, every part (hardware/software) of their device is developed specifically to work harmoniously with its other parts. While open source (such as Android) is great too in the sense that it sets a universal standard, meaning a concept developed for one device can be easily adapted to another different device. Generalization (Android) and Specialization (Apple). Both are good. BUT, Intel's medflied platform is KING!
