Great strategy!
This is not the first time Apple does that.
1. Announce that Apple whats something (modem, in this case)
2. Company "I" invests into this business, uses owned patents and technology.
3. Announce that Apple will NOT buy any stuff from company "I" or buys this from different company
4. Stock drops, Company "I" has significant looses.
5. Apple buys Company "I" business for 10x less.

You won't see iPhone with fruit's modem until 2025 the earliest. Apple and Qualcomm deal are for 6 yrs with optional 7th year.

Android is advanced but is full of privacy concerns, from the OS it self to apps. I do not know how much crapp IOS has inside of it, but android has crapp all over the place. This cones from an android user, by the way. The only way i keep my data at least in check (their is no way to really keep your data private) is usind NetGuard. That app kind of shows you the huge privacy problem android has.

Almost nobody buys Exynos. Except from Meizu once in a while and Motorola recently.
MediaTek has no proper flagship hardware.
Qualcomm is alone here.

Sorry state of intel continues
losing badly in desktop market
No innovation in half a decade
Falling behind their own processor cadence cycle
is having soo many issues within their own fab
they need to put more efforts in achieving their own road map
giving away the modem division is just sad

Intel should have kept the business
I rather wanted to see intel enter mobile market
don't need Qualcomm to dominate it
I personally feel we are stagnant with Qualcomm with no sizable improvements
855 is not a big improvement over last year
a good competitor would Push Qualcomm more

but still make outdated overpriced Crap
iPhone XS are almost 2 years behind Android in every major aspect
Their software is outdated
