I think dual-core smartphones are fast enough.

Well i must say LG is already in shame. My Galaxy s2 running ICS LPB version made 4157. S2 is just a dual core. One can imagine how much upcoming S3 can do.

4210 on Galaxy S2 running ICS :) Quad core on phones is a waste of power since ICS on S2 runs awesome and I don't see phones benefit from quad core in anything than games or maybe better performance on HD screens. I wish someone could make a phone with the same specs like S2 and add a beastly camera with xenon flash in it, now that would be a phone.

Video playback on smartphone (or on HDTV), also low battery consumption with 4x cores cpu, video recording in high resolution without lag ant high frame rate, flash content/flash tv/flash video broadcasting and so on.. if you dont need it then buy LG Optimus One

Oh man right when I've said I won't buy any LG phone, ever...this having 4.0.3 on it and with those specs...makes me think twice. Hope LG learns from its mistakes as others did and invests in its software department.
