As an owner of Sony's XB550's, the EXTRA BASS series is really great, but you have to love a more dynamic sound and NOT a flat/balanced one. There's nothing, really, wrong with that. There's a reason they're called EXTRA BASS, afterall.
I think these are going to be my next upgrade from the XB550's.
