I beleive this is a very important step toward the 4 screen startegy that Sony is planning to do where Eriscsson was showsopper for this strategy, now is that time - we are waiting to see the huge fun from Sony ... Good Luck Sony

Best brand which look for looks.looks for music gaming but no one realised the hard work of Sony Ericsson engineers.the q2 result is an example.but i love you Sony Ericsson .never forget you。。。。。

I've just bought my first Sony Ericsson phone. The mini and I'm quite happy with it. It's a good phone besides the lack of some basic apps like a notepad, a voice recorder, a file manager. Nothing that a quick visit to the market won't solve.I think that now without Ericsson Sony can do an even better job. And I hope that the integration with other Sony products like PlayStation grows stronger.

i want to comment:
as far as i understand, sony bought the stakes that belongs to ericsson. this means that the owner of the company now is sony.
the engineers and the designers and all staff that was on the merging se company will stay as they are.
they will just get their salaries from the same company which is now totally owned by sony.
so i expect that they will still make the same good phones
this action just gives sony more room to join mobile smart phones with their other entertainment as TV and tablets and Play station and develop platform that is suitable for them. and this can't be permitted while ericsson is there in company.
i really appreciate ericsson because they played a good role in making better communication, i mean you can hear and speak more clearly on se phones than nokia for example., i think ericsson also played some role in making phones slim and light as T28 and .
so i hope the new company(or the old company) under ownership of sony will keep producing good phones.
please correct me if i am wrong in my all assumptions

was going to purchase a dual core monster and would pay around 1000 US$s in turkey... and would be a hefty package to carry due to huge screen sizes.... suddenly found out the new Xperia Pro2 with a decent qwerty keyboard and a 1 GHz proc.... small size, perfect fit, works about any apps... just paid around 400 US$s, saved a lot.... in love with the machine after 1 months... great work

Sony or se does't metter. I stil love the design and even their spec lower then others btand but still nice. Just like VW polo gti small engine but equal speed compare to other sportcar with massive engine.. :-)

Back in 2002 (or was it 2003) when Sony phones became Sony Ericsson, it sounded weird to say it.
Now, SE is so established that it now feels weird to say just SONY instead.

Gr888 news.. But it would be very interesting to see what sony alone is upto and definitley All are expecting SONY to enter with a boom, not only launch more high end phones but should also target low-mid range ANDROID CUSTOMERS, just as Sony has experiemented with his NOTEBOOK Section.
Earlier it was a Privilege to own a VAIO , but now SONY has bought its price range within the reach of all mid buyers.
Hoping to See Sony to SOON COME WITH MID-RANGE ANDROID PHONES for a consumer like ME...!!! :)
