jack, 16 Feb 2012so a new skin for android is coming and is called Jelly Bea... moreIf YOU don't notice the improvements on Chrome this doesn't mean that they are not existent. You see, when all you do is Facebook and 2 websites, yes, you can use almost any browser out there. But for a developer, the improvements are obvious. BTW, have you ever heard of that thing called bugfixes?

Like this: Versions of Cupcake, Donut and Eclair were released in 2009. Froyo and Gingerbread in 2010.
The updates will be faster if the OEMs were involved in the coding process of the OS. Google doesn't do that. OEMs have to wait for code to be released publicly. Shame.

it's every one year.. GB was released around end of 2010, ICS end of 2011, and i won't be surprised if jellybean will be released at the end of 2012.. and half a year later, it will be in the newer phones.. just like what ICS is doing now.. so, chill.. if you want the latest, buy the latest phone.. anyway, GB is more than enough, ICS is a bonus.. rmbr, iOS5 is still behind GB..

                        google - giant search engine.
microsoft has years of experience in os building than google.

they also keep increasing min hardware requirement with each update.this might be an exclusive property of dual and quadcore phones.
Nokia is better in providing updates.they bring it to all handset

Yeah, I'm sort of worried about that too.
I wonder how many current phones will be updated to 5.0. I can sense a lot of frustrated customers whose 4 month old phones can't upgrade to 5.0.

I thought Android 4.0 was meant to be a unifying release for Android - to reduce fragmentation. Doesn't seem that way yet.

I guess this is a strength of iOS (and to a lesser extent, WP7) have.

But anyhow, this isn't confirmed yet - so the 5.0 release could still be a fair way off. Guess we'll see.
