Parasites of glamour everywhere, but if you ask them put the camera on pro mode or silent their S10+ are a BIG SHAME! Sony still have best devices with real proof!

They need ADS! Dem ADS Seriously no body knows Sony phone anymore if they don't ADS. Today's generation are more into Sammy, they put a lot heavy ads, I saw a lot of banner in my town when they launched S10, TV, and YT Ads. But Sony? No I don't see any since Z series. Now only 90s folks that grow up with Walkman and Cybershot phone know how good Sony is.

Sony, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus, Google and HTC dont sell their phones here. I could go to ebay or another site and purchase.
Customhouse will keep them for many weeks and they will charge me taxes that can go up more than 50%. The phone can get lost somewhere (many people here buy from gearbest etc and sometimes phone go missing somewhere).
Devices that wont have warranty nor even pieces here if I need any repair.
If Sony phones are not what you look for, it is fine. You have your opinion. I have used Samsung and dont like.
But is ridiculous to see other people say they never do new stuff and phones should cost $500 because xiaomi phones cost.
Things in China work different of other countries. Cant compare.
Last Xperia with micro usb was E5 , from may 2016.
Last Xperia without NFC was probably a low end from 2013 or 2014.
S10 5G and Xperia 1 are the only phones in 2019 with GG6 on both sides.
Even low end L3 has RAM ddr4 and Gorilla 5, things many midranges ridiculously lack in 2019.
I dare any brand to make phone with 4K HDR oled, IP68, stacked cmos (more expensive than regular cmos), stereo speakers with dolby, latest gorilla, OIS, latest cpu/gpu etc and price it $450.
As I said before, for example only the components of phones like Apple Xs Max and Samsung S10+ cost more than $400.
ONLY THE COMPONENTS. This does not even count software, production costs, licensing of 3rd part tech, advertisement, research/developmemt, taxes etc ... Impossible to charge $480.
High price is just excuse. After few months flagship devices from LG and Sony are 20-30% cheaper already. If people still dont buy is simple because they dont want to.
Few days after they released XZ2P, people could get it for $780 in Hong Kong.
In Taiwan Xperia 1 is $850 only. The 10+ (6Gb) was $350 in early june , while L3 was launched for $150.
There are ppl here that bash just because Sony Mobile does not care about their countries.
Which is ridiculous reason to bash. Why would they care about places that they barely sell?
Anyone knows that USA, India and China have never been priority. Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan are.

They waited until it was ok to over charge the heck of devices before finally putting a little effort into them again. And they just somehow expected that would turn everything around.

-Their after sales was a nightmare.
-Their advertising was barely existent.
-They hardly released their devices in many regions like us carriers for one.
-Some of the ones they did were recycled old ones. Like the z3v instead of being a z3 which had large upgrades in display and speakers and of course decent in cpu... was a recycled z2. Very deceiving.
-for years they had wide spread motherboard and display failures that were not even recognized by them as manufacturer defects and took probably until the xzpremium to finally fix.
-not to mention how behind they were in cameras all these years despite being the main supplier of cameras

HTC, Meizu, LG, Sony. How many of these companies need to be losing money making the same stupid mistakes before they realise maybe there's an issue they need to address.
Lower your prices, put bigger batteries in, give us headphone jacks and micro SD support and watch your sales improve
Must be worth a shot. Removing features isn't improving their sales. Might as well try adding them

Back a few years ago Sony was the best option to me. Not the greatest at everything, but good enough for the price range. Walkman, stereo speckers, decent camera, 4k shoot, good display, waterproof, 3.5mm jack, sd card slot, battery for ~2 days in Stamina mode... and all that on a 4,6-5,1" "phone"! Today I still have all that (and better) but with another name on it... I am sorry Sony, but you make me change sides. Re-think your strategy and maybe one day we'll be back. But what do we know? We are just consumers...

IMO just like HTC, Sony has one major flaw and that they're still pricing their phone way too high. It's a shame, cause I do know from experience both of them use premium parts which normally don't show up on early hands on impressions like having excellent Wi-fi antennas, bluetooth chips, call quality etc etc. They need to change their marketing strategy if they want to stay relevant.

I didn't buy a Sony phone on my last upgrade because the headphone jack was gone. It's a matter of how much accessory junk is needed - I don't want to carry an earbud charger or USB-C hub. Bring back the headphone jack or add a second USB-C port.
I'm not going to carry a USB thumb drive either so put 1TB in the phone or keep the microSD slot.

Not surprised Sony sales are down. Should have listened to customers and come up with a decent flagship compact and they'd have the market to themselves. Only iPhone does a similar phone, there is no current proper compact Android with flagship specs.
