Some OEM's dosent know what consumers need, and there are consumers that dont know what thay want. Many brands like hiaomi, lenovo, asus, vivo, oppo are prucing the products very aggressively. more peopole are choosing 400,500 $ phones instead of 1000k.

Oreo, two years after selling it?

Here is a suggestion for LG to make this phone worth the money:

              1) If you are going to have dual screens, make the secondary one modular. Have a standard LCD screen like the primary, but also have a E-ink screen, and have a blank shell also available.

Make the secondary have an additional battery, for a combined capacity in the 4800 to 5000 mah range. Anything less is useless with dual screens. The blank shell could be a extra capacity battery for multiple-day mobility without a charger/heavy use situation.

              2) As far as attachment goes, mimic what Motorola did with their Mods series. Make the screens both secure from everyday knocks, but still easily hot swappable when needed. Make the unit balanced in weight, with maybe a slight hint toward the secondary screen being a bit heavier for use in landscape mode while trying on it.

              3) Provide a Wacom-capable stylus. Don't need the Bluetooth connection like the Sammy Note series, just make it accurate.

              4) Have software specifically designed to make this design sing. Make it a business class phone, with full desktop integration by allowing dual boot with Linux. If Google balks at that, go to Tizen, Sailfish, or any other Linux-based mobile OS. Even better, partner with Microsoft to push out a new Windows 10 ARM release to make this more business focused.

They (the ones you mentioned) are just as bad as people who will never get the phone they hate for free. Why do they even say that? Just get the free iPhone for example and sell it to someone for a lot of money for you to buy the phone you really want.

"MIL-STD-810 is a flexible standard that allows users to tailor test methods to fit the application. As a result, a vendor's claims of "...compliance to MIL-STD-810..." can be misleading, because no commercial organization or agency certifies compliance, commercial vendors can create the test methods or approaches to fit their product. Suppliers can—and some do—take significant latitude with how they test their products, and how they report the test results. When queried, many[quantify] manufacturers will admit no testing has actually been done and that the product is only designed/engineered/built-to comply with the standard[citation needed]. This is because many of the tests described can be expensive to perform and usually require special facilities. Consumers who require rugged products should verify which test methods that compliance is claimed against and which parameter limits were selected for testing. Also, if some testing was actually done they would have to specify against which test methods of the standard the compliance is claimed to which parameter limits the items were actually tested and whether the testing was done internally or externally by an independent testing facility."

Since a few years ago my phone is always LG the issue is that I always buy 6 months after leaving the last flagship and I do it at a super price example buy the LG G7 + for $ 289 new, there is no better mid-range for that price of this year, I will buy the V50 when it costs the same is a couple of months :-)

LG is like a zombie. Walking dead.

My next phone if wide angle selfie is not ugly 5MP like V50 yucks!
