Don't expect same phone from others. UDFPS is just a gimmick. And no company is scared of new technologies.. 3-4 years same phones???? Get a life.

Nokia's first phone with ugly front design. Why such sized side bezels & notch? That side bezels should have been reduced. Or else at least bottom bezel should have had the same size as side bezel.
Lazy design HMD. Proper bezel or proper notch design is acceptable. Nor both in same phone.

Carl, 10 Aug 2019Affordable is not the word that match how much Nokia ask fo... more7.1 was launched for 20000 INR in india (hardly 250Euro). May be in Europe it is overpriced. Yes even it was overpriced in india by at least 20-30Euro. But when compared to nokia 6.1+ which was launched for 16000 INR(200Euro). Nokia 6.1+ plus had almost same specs as 7.1 except for HDR display & Zeiss lens. So price was justified in india. By today's offerings it looks overpriced too much but when it was launched it was Ok Ok price for its specs..

The 7.1 was 400 euros at its release. That is a premium price in the mid-range, not an affordable price for its range. One thing is the price itself an other very different is the price for what you are offering which can make it expensive, all is relative about what you get.
And watching it, around 400 will be overpriced for sure.

I expected something different. Seems a clear downgrade in design from the previous 7.1 This looks like a vulgar and poorly designed version of a Motorola G7/G7 Plus. If it comes with an old SoC for this time and the old rear fingerprint sensor, any hope or hint of being attractive or interesting is reduced to zero. Those bezels are horrendous.

Nokia is just a name nowadays. I don't expect them to do anything innovative or different from the other Chinese vendors.

Why should buy it? No amoled screen, no in display fingerprint scanner, older snap 710 instead newer 730 , again notched screen (why they didn't create something like Xiaomi Mi9T?) It's old fashioned looking equipped phone like from last 2 years.. What I observed Nokia is scaring new waves and trends and is far away from any innovations.. Almost 3 or 4 years always same phones..

For me is problem is not one handed use as i dont use one handed anyways. My problem is the size of the phone body that is so big that even when it fits in the pants pocket then it will limit me even tying my shoes laces. and well when you need to get you phone out of pocket cause it's ringing then it takes time, just cause it's so big.

Somethi... moreFor ease of use look at the width and aspect ratio of the screen, the diagonal has become redundant as screens are getting longer, not wider. If you're looking for a 5.2" (16:9), phones with: 5.7" (18:9), 5.8" (18.5:9), 6" (19:9) and 6.1" (19.5:9) should do the job, reaching the other side of the screen is important these days, for people like us who prefer smaller phones. 5.2" is the biggest I can go for one-handed use.

Looks beautiful. I'd like something smaller though. Something like midranger with a 5,2 full screen phone. And a bigger 6,5 version to those who love to claim they have big hands of course.
