Samsung Galaxy Note10+'s 25W charger aces charge speed test, beats OnePlus 7 Pro

13 August 2019
The OnePlus comes with a 30W charger and a slightly smaller battery - 4,000mAh vs. 4,300mAh. The catch is that charge speeds are not constant.

Samsung has a great history of making bombs, so people praising the charger should wait until the actual users start using it

If you don't care about wearing battery down you can charge at full power until it is nearly full. Samsung just shortened every Note 10's battery life by not slowing down charging earlier

And fast charging is not all about the watts it gmcan give but also how consistent it can be in the long run(Battery Heat Managment, Charging Throttling).........Beating the OP7 30W by Note's 25W is a good example..

Should be the 12W that comes with iPAD.

Credit where credit is due. Samsung really outdid the competition this time around with no one seeing this coming. I just hope everything is well with their battery in the long term as a sudden spike at the end of the charging cycle is not really a good thing based on my limited understanding.

                            Kudos to Sammie!

The Voice of Reason, 13 Aug 2019Why are people obsessed with fast charing? It literally ... moreI'm literally still using 5 years old battery on my galaxy note 3.
And I've always charged it to 100%, and discharged to ~10%.

Those kinds of rules don't make much sense.

Why are people obsessed with fast charing?

It literally kills your battery in long term.

If you want your battery to last as long as possible, charge it using the lowest possible voltage, don't discharge below 35% and don't charge it over 75%. If that's too little juice for you, then you can extend the boundaries to e.g. 20-80%.

Also, avoid using your phone in extreme temperatures (e.g. above 35C or below 5C).

Still, never charge to 100% and never discharge to 0%. You'll thank me later.
