FB was careless to leak your data. I don't think they intended to give it away too.

Popy, 14 Aug 2019A great way to sell ur fingerprint dataif you think the fingerprint reader on android is a big security issue if used in other apps: your phone runs on google software and google is well known for collecting and selling data big time, why not noticing a security issue with google, but facebook? They are all the same: big american companies collecting and selling sensible data.

Popy, 14 Aug 2019A great way to sell ur fingerprint dataIf that is possible, it means Android fingerprint scanner have very big security problem.

But more likely it's just clueless people talking about tech they don't understand.

The problem comes when you know that Whatapps is Facebook too. Come that unlocking support with an extra "feature" to share your fingerprint too? Or... What are you accepting when you push the icon to unlock the app? Sadly, today those aren't crazy questions, probably are the ones, plus a lot more, to consider about what software use and install.

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2019Already been using this with iPhone since february, really ... moreI want to know if the iPhone has a built-in feature that allows users to lock and unlock all the applications on your phone?
For the record, I have no intention of debating which is better between Android and iPhone or other useless intentions my question is purely because of curiosity.

Because my Xiaomi phone has a built-in feature that can lock all the applications that are on my phone, i can even hide it so that other people won't know if a certain application is installed on my phone.

What is the point of this when you can lock your entire phone with your fingerprint? It just adds an extra step.

I'm using Xiaomi phones and with the built in feature called "App Lock" i can lock and unlock pratically any apps with PIN, Patern, Password, Fingerprint or even Face ID.
And if i'm not mistaken most phones from chinese brands has similar built in feature.
