They are targeting early adopters and people wanting to flaunt their wealth. As volume starts to increase pricing will come down, but not for a few years, probably.

The razr was a fun device, well built, and had a great design. Slim, pocketable but could still handle being abused. The new Razr has a lot to live up to.

Love the design. The Snapdragon 710 is very efficient. This phone is meant for design lovers and those who still remember how good the original RAZR was back in the day.
For those new millennials who just want performance and new chipsets , there are plenty of other choices.
