Own 3 vanilla version of Huawei flagship. The older one is almost 3 years already. Got 3 major android update, almost every month security patch update, up until today. Its that good.

I would advise against buying non flagship Huawei phones if regular updates are what you're looking for. They only update their flagships regularly in the past 2 years. Most of their mid tiers only receive 1 significant update (changes at API Level) if any. But then again, I don't know a mid tier phone that constantly receives updates.

Anonymous, 22 Aug 2019EMUI is junk because it's too messy and hideous, it's unori... moreDon't be so biased. You should look at how P10 is performing today, it is almost as good as Oneplus 3 that I had. It is still very snappy. You should try out phones before making general statements.
Also, messy is subjective. I would say it is a little messy, but it is a compromise for having a UI choke full of features. All of the basic features that I need are there - night mode, easy wirelesd PC file transfer and many more.

Go here to read about it all. I used to diss Chinese phones as well, not trusting them and even laughed at my sister when she bought the P10 2 years ago when I chose to buy V20 instead. Now, the joke is on me instead. P10 is still running very well, minimal lag. The LG V20? Like shit. Instead of being like a biased from who only wants to stay in a well, be open to others. In the end, you're the one reaping the benefits.

Am ... moreEMUI is junk because it's too messy and hideous, it's unoriginal as well because it looks like an uglier version of iOS, and soon it'll look like One UI too. And he was probably talking about custom ROMs, not apps. You're right about OnePlus smartphones and iPhones, they don't get laggy after several years.
