What matters most is performance and then updates which is dependant to the manufacturers NOT the brand SoC used. People still buy vivo and Oppo regardless of whether they are Mediatek or Snapdragon and they still have a significant market share. If you want to choose Snapdragon for eternity then that's up to you but don't try to discourage people from choosing phones just because "MEDIATEK".

Can we all please stop calling regular heatpipes "water cooling"? Water cooling is when you actually have water inside a loop that is propelled by a pump and heat is exchanged on the radiator. Which, absolutely NONE of the phones has. It's just a bloody heatpipe.

If they do this design for something like Redmi 8A, is acceptable cause is not the looks that count in that variant, but for Redmi Note series, i think they can do better, why they dont keep the cameras on the side and put a ODFS in that? the can do it right?! If Mi A3 can do it, this will be around the same price so...no problem i think. The only problem here is just the SoC.

me, i dont like that thing...thats why i dont like MediaCrap, they dont open source nothing of their SoC's.
developers dont go for it cause that, people start not liking it cause that...having a closed to development SoC is so boring, you dont have freedom to do whatever you want with YOUR PHONE!
Xiaomi is doing well until yesterday, snapdragon all over, and im happy with my Mi9, cause i can flash Android 10 right now, i cant unlock bootloader, flash things....what you can do with MediaCrap?! ALMOST NOTHING.
MediaCrap is about the same as CrApple...only difference is what they are located, China vs USA! As per comparison maybe one day MediaCrap will be inside a iJunk soon as they looove to be close down development for their proiducts.

You just hate anything with the name "Mediatek" irrespective of how good they are and that shows your close-mindedness. Bias towards Snapdragon isn't exactly healthy, competition in the market is always good.

And so what ? For us Europeans what matters is, will the performance match the Snapdragon 730 (benchmarks, battery life and real life smoothness).. I doubt it. The Mi 9T is still going to be the better buy at 270 Euro

280k is nice. That's far away from 140k of SD 660 and 200k of SD 675 so that's definitely an upgrade in terms of processing power. I'm just worried about the price honestly.

well, Xiaomi are destroing the image they have the start of this year with this. Even, they try go with MediaCrap in this shows how badly Xiaomi are beign managed.
